U.S., Israel: Dismissal of defense official not on agenda
Both the Pentagon and Israel deny reports that the U.S. had called on Israel to fire the Defense Ministry's director general, Amos Yaron.

Israeli sources said Wednesday that U.S. Undersecretary of Defense Douglas Feith cut off ties with Yaron as a result of a crisis of confidence that broke out between the two countries a few months ago over Israeli weapons sales to China.
