Boy ready for martyrdom
Boy ready for martyrdom

Fifteen-year-old Abdel Kareem Mohammed Abu Habel sits in an Israeli prison after he tried and failed to martyr himself last year. Would he do it again? Without a doubt, he says.

Abdel Kareem Mohammed Abu Habel agrees with Israeli critics who say that next week's disengagement from the Gaza Strip and parts of the West Bank will do nothing to stop Palestinian terrorist attacks against Israel.

Sitting in his jail cell in the Sharon Detention Center in central Israel, he also said he would never accept peace with the Jewish state, even if Israel eventually pulled back to its pre-1967 borders, behind the so-called Green Line. He doesn't even know what the Green Line is.

The only peace he wants "is to get back all our lands," meaning the entire state of Israel.

"We don't want the Jews on this world," he said.

1. Sick fucker
No better than the white power folks who don't want their country polluted by "darkies". No better than the fanatical settlers who wish for annihilation of the Palestinians. ETC!

3. Up to a point.

I agree with you that he's no better than a fifteen-year-old white power supporter or fanatical settler, but I think 15 is too young to hold someone full responsible for holding any sort of views. I'd reserve condemnation like "sick fucker" for whoever convinced him that that was true, and especially for whoever gave him a suicide bomb and sent him out to murder innocent people at the cost of his own life.

4. It's deplorable that they use kids like this and indoctrinate them into
committing suicide for political purposes.

5. And on both sides...
"DEAR SOLDIER, PLEASE KILL A LOT OF ARABS"

Yedioth Ahronoth, May 7, 2002

Israeli reservists serving in the Tulkarm area during Operation Defensive Shield were stunned when they opened gifts sent by school Children from central Israel. Many of the students wrote them letters in which they encouraged them to disregard the rules and regulations and to kill as many Arabs as possible. Dozens of the letters were sent, mostly from children in the 7th through 10th grades who attend national religious schools.

...

"I pray for you that you return home safely, and kill at least ten for me,"
"Screw the rules and spray them. By the way-a good Arab is a dead Arab."
"Let the Palestinians, may God blacken their name, burn in Hell. Punch holes in them with your M-16 and bomb them,"
"I have a special request for you-kill as many Arabs as you can."
"Say, isn't it fun to shoot an Arab? Here's a slogan: a good Arab is a dead Arab. A top notch Arab is a buried Arab."

6. Hah! You think that's bad?
My unit once got a bunch of letters from schools for Purim (along with mishlochei manot). There are two letters I remember in particular:

The first stated "dear soldier, please vote Bibi and Shas" (this was shortly before the 1999 elections".

The second said "dear soldier, I hope you die for the nation":eyes:

7. Kids are so lovely, aren't they?
That second one must have been a real morale-booster. What's even worse is there was probably some teacher back at the school who thought that one was just fine to send off to the soldiers...

9. Ought to take some....
of those "frozen" funds from Islamic charities and spend it on therapy. But that would put an end to the banks using it to leverage their own money-making schemes...

10. This child's mother is a real case
"Of course, yes, I would have been happy," she said. And proud. Even though it would be very sad for me to lose my son. But I would be very proud," she said.

"But of course, not when he was 14. This is for somebody older that him .. . 18 and up to 20 ... somebody this age, it would be OK," she said. "
