Michael C. Ruppert's permanent goodbye to the United States |
|
Mike Ruppert moves to Venezuela. August 16th 2006, 11:45 AM – CARACAS – It was about a week before I left the United States forever that I watched Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. tell Charlie Rose something all of us already know in our hearts. “Today,” he said, “the United States is hated around the world far worse than it was at the height of the Vietnam War.” I remember the Vietnam War. I will never forget it.
I opposed that war, and I still remember riots on the UCLA campus in May,1970 when four students were shot dead by National Guard troops at Kent State University in Ohio. I was a college student then, and I was 2S-deferred for the draft. A year later I would be re-classified 1A as the nation shifted to a lottery system. At least someone in my country was willing to risk his life in the face of injustice. It gave me hope. That kind of risk-taking was commonplace then, from the civil rights movement to the anti-war movement, to the American Indian Movement. American blood was shed regularly on American soil to resist American tyranny; from Watts, to Detroit, to Selma, to San Francisco to Memphis to Wounded Knee. It fertilized our lives and souls as it touched the ground. The willingness to endure physical suffering, material sacrifice, and jail for the sake of justice was a singular mark of the American character that earned respect as it infected the world.
What is the United States infecting the world with today?
Now it seems the American people won’t even risk their credit ratings, student loans, the next piece of ass, or a sideways glance from people who look at them like AIDS patients for daring to deviate from the corporate, media-instilled norm. We have come a long way backward.....

What a mature response. How old are you? I'd guess something like 17 or less. *sigh*.

LAPD Narcotics detective who was forced out of the LAPD after he was solicited by and then went on record exposing CIA drug smuggling operations.
He's since been someone who works on researching and exposing government corruption.

6. Maybe Venezuela will treat him better than the US ever treated its own |

We left the poor to die and sent their sons to die in some needless war. As Americans, we all share some responsibility for what this nation has done in our name. We owe it to the world to oppose the federal government, and if that is ineffective, then to abolish it and institute a new one.
It's our blood, our land, our freedom, and our future.

And it's true. Just because your paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get you. When the shift happens, you'll understand. On edit: http://www.onlinejournal.com/artman/publish/article_203.shtml

I was kinda stunned to see Ruppert has left the country. I'm thinking is it that bad-then I ask myself if I really do believe the goverment let 9/11 happen-what should I do?? If I was him-would I stay? I've read his book and not sure I agree with all his conclusions. But he makes me ask questions. That's what I want. Questions not assumptions-which is all we get from our media-and much of the so called Left.
And I can understand after so many attacks on his work and having such bad shennanigans in his office that he would want to get out. I don't know what to think happened. But I'm taking notice. Oh and read the link-the operations northwoods plan-well my husband still believes in incompetence theory-(he's as anti-conspiracy as they come) but when I showed him that, it made him wonder.

10. never heard of him till now, but he seems to honestly believe what he says |

Crossing the Rubicon seems like a apt title for a book on Iraq, and his moving to Venezuela is proof that he walks the walk and talks the talk.
good luck to him, and hope to read more interesting and informative titles from him.

I thought this was familiar, anyway, what he's saying resonates, we're not doing nearly enough to stop the madness that has gripped us since I don't know when. I'm old enough to remember thetimes he's speaking about, and I've been amazed that similar movements have been born, everyone is too goddamn afraid to lose their mortage, their sux, their whatever. To get anything done we must be willing to sacrafice, ready to lose what we hold dear, or else we're going to wake up and it will be to fucking late.
