Things I didn't know about September 11 |
|
I watched the MSNBC rerun this year and was able to actually listen instead of being caught up in the moment.
I have read here and other places about bombs in the building(s) but never heard some of what the eyewitnesses/survivors said. Some said they heard 2 explosions saying one maybe on the plane and another in the building. Frightening...
What was very interesting a to hear though was the reporting that the CIA and the NSA closed very early that day. Only a skeleton crew of essentials were manning the agencies that had ALL the evidence that was ignored.
Since this forum is the dungeon and the place reserved for wild conspiracy theories, I wonder who these people were and what type of work they were assigned to do that day. Filing perhaps?
Or to come right out and say it, Could they have emptied both agencies to forever remove the most incriminating evidence and guilt of our govt.?
Flying Bush around the nation for hours with that bogus notion of Air Force One being targeted could have been the time they needed to focus on these important details.
Just felt like spouting off today.

1. I remember reading Cofer Black's story |
|
Edited on Wed Sep-17-08 08:50 PM by noise
Might have from Mayer's book The Dark Side. As best I remember Tenet said something about evacuating CIA personnel. Black replied that most people could leave but CTC personnel were too important and if they were killed then it was simply too bad.
I think Bamford (Pretext for War) recounted a similar story (without the John Wayne BS) at the NSA. Most personnel were evacuated but a few stayed due to the pressing need to coordinate response and follow leads.

19. What could they have done? |
|
IMO, the bigger mystery concerns the conduct of the FBI ITOS whose leadership seemed to have very strange priorities. Why haven't we heard from the man who ran the FBI Bin Laden unit? Isn't that exceptionally odd? That would be Rod Middleton. Yet despite his key role, AFAIK he has never been interviewed by the media.

5. I agree that Bush was criminally negligent |
|
there is plenty of real evidence for that. There is no real evidence for LIHOP - just endless speculation as seen in the OP.

13. Bill, you're hopeless.... |
|
only a conspiracist could claim the lack of evidence for their CT is actually evidence of it. It's like the mother of all cognitive dissonance claims.

12. The claim that "there is no evidence because no one was allowed to find any!"... |
|
is almost as stupid as RWers who argued that the lack of evidence against Clinton during his terms just "shows how sneaky he was!".
A more interesting question here would be, "if, as you claim, no one was allowed to find any evidence, then how in the world are you making such absurd claims about what happened on 9/11?".

16. I just see the negligence as LIHOP, myself... |
|
I look at this way: there were tons of warnings beforehand and they all got ignored. Let's say that someone told you that you had bare wires in your house & they were a fire hazard. If you failed to fix them and your house burned down, you may be criminally negligent, but you also 'let it happen on purpose', did you not? You had the warning, you knew the consequences, and you failed to act on that warning.
Maybe I just see things differently, I don't know...

I think nearly every building in DC and the surrounding areas were shutdown. I know most large office building in Philly were shutdown. It is probably a safe bet to say that in nearly every major city large office buildings were closed on 9/11.
Did you think every person that work in the CIA or NSA are spooks?
And what do you mean by;
manning the agencies that had ALL the evidence that was ignored

You win.
But no, Not every person working for the CIA is a spook, as if that really matters when you are talking about DATA.
