What are the best books or films on 9/11? |
|
In your opinion? I've read Painful Questions: An Analysis of the September 11th Attacks.

1. "Precarious Lives" by Judith Butler... |
|
It's not about 9/11 per se, but about the reaction to 9/11 and how it has colored our thinking linguistically and ethically.

Crossing the Rubicon, by Mike Ruppert.
It covers the whole spectrum, but stays safely out of the realm of pure speculation by analyzing only the raw facts; examining the motives of those who perpetrated the attack - discovering who stood to gain the most, and why.
The best part is that it doesn't deal in what some may consider "conspiracy theories," but rather assembles its case first by putting the events into historical perspective. As a matter of fact, the first section of the book has to do with Peak Oil.
I cannot recommend this book highly enough.

....current events, everything moving so rapidly. I've found it hard to sit down to read a good book. It takes a lot of reading online for me to keep up with everything... and watching the "news" at the same time.

I think everybody who deals with 911 has to have read Paul Thompsn's timeline in detail. Very well sourced, no interpretation, just from time to time he formulates the contradiction. There is an old version of the timeline still on the web. www.cooperativeresearch.org
His book is completely up to date. Unfortunately he only had 600 pages so he had to cut important chapters (eg Anthrax etc).

10. Most of the best information |
|
is not in books or films, yet. Start with DU 9/11 forums and archives -they are most illuminating, and one will learn how to separate the wheat from the chaff. The best book I've read, and that makes a strong clear case for MIHOP, is Griffin's The New Pearl Harbor. Another good start is to google 'Killtown' and look at everything there, especially their links. Center for Cooperative Research site is an excellent source of media based inconsistencies in the official story. Re mainstream films like F 9/11 or any corporate media reports, tv docs or books on 9/11 and OBL etc- be very very skeptical that you are getting anything like the whole story.

and I agree, that if you are even remotely interested in researching 9-11, this is a must read. I just started reading Nafeez Ahmed's other book entitled "Behind the War on Terror".
