Have there been crim. procedures against people who "congratulated" Osama?
In Germany one lawyer was fined with arround 10.000 USD because he told to the press, that the 9/11 attacks were "justified". (That was 1/2 years ago).

See http://www.news24.com/News24/World/News/0,6119,2-10-1462_1522381,00.html

Does anybody know similar cases inj the world?

Were there any fines because of comments on 9/11 in the US?

Thanks, Fanny

1. Fines for speech?
Sorry, but we haven't sunk to that level yet. Cheering for Osama may get you a beating, but it won't get you fined.

2. let's hope not.
To be fined for stating an opinion no matter how vile an affront to the concept of freedom.

3. Bill Maher
He had his Politically Incorrect show cancelled for saying that the hijackers weren't cowards like the Americans, who kill their quarry long-distance. Or something like that.

So much for freedom of speech.
