ABC's coverage, which I was watching that morning isn't what I remember. In fact, I called the Secret Service that morning because Peter Jennings kept repeating that there was a plane unaccounted for. I heard a plane I thought may have been the one he was talking about. Right after I spoke to the Secret Service Jennings said, there's a plane down near Cleveland. The broadcast on this link doesn't have any of that.
The plane I called about turned out to be Delta 1998. Or so the story goes anyway.

I'm in Toledo. It was flight 1989 not 1998. 1998 was the year My Constitutional Rights began the long Odyssey of being violated.
98 - 89 and I'm not even dyslexic although Dr. Phil once accused me of being Freud. :P

4. can you answer this... |
|
the plane I heard seemed like it was some time after all planes were ordered to land at the nearest airport.
That is what I thought was so odd about this plane. I knew it was flying too high to land at Toledo but could have, because we do have landing strips long enough to land Air Force One. It was then some time before I called SS.
I apparently was watching bootleg TV because the ABC Original broadcast doesn't have what caused me to call SS in the first place.
If the order to land wasn't made until 9:40 or there about and I heard this plane at what was in my estimation a considerable time after this, how could it have been Delta 1989 which landed in Cleveland at 10:10 or there about?
The plane was not an Air Force Fighter jet, I hear them all the time - 180th Fighter Wing. I live 10 - 15 miles by car from the airport.
Any idea?

What do you mean by "considerable time" after the 9:40 grounding order? Do I understand you right that your plane overflew Toledo later than 9:55 - because this is the time when Delta 1989 made a U-turn over Toledo?
Can you narrow down the time window when you heard the plane?

5. Woody, what do all those replies in your blog represent? |
|
They're certainly not real comments. I was hoping for some real dialog there.
Oh well, thanks for the link anyway.

Just ignore them, most of the comments are not even responding to the text.
You're welcome.
