Scientists Find Explosives in WTC dust
Scientists Find Explosives in World Trade Center Dust

Scientists have detected flecks of undetonated explosives in four samples of dust from the World Trade Center catastrophe. A paper just published in the peer-reviewed Open Chemical Physics Journal describes the findings of nine scientists after 18 months of work.
The paper is titled “Active Thermitic Material Discovered in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe”. The primary authors are Niels Harrit, professor of chemistry at the University of Copenhagen, and Jeffrey Farrer, professor of Physics at Brigham Young University (BYU), Provo, Utah....more..

2. This is not new nor is it correct.
It has been discussed repeatedly. Please look up one of the old threads.

8. Not correct?
What rebuttal paper or scientific testing has proven this paper incorrect?

14. What accepted scientific paper or scientific testing has proven this paper correct?
Publication in a vanity press like Bentham doesn't need a rebuttal paper or scientific testing to discount. All you need is $800.

16. That is "factually inaccurate"
The *nine* authors of the thermitic materials paper have reached their conclusion through scientific testing, and others have corroborated it. Why do you think you can just "declare" that a paper is "not correct" without proof backed by scientific testing?

There are many open scientific journals that charge a fee for publication. They are not referred to as "vanity journals."

17. Nope. Bentham published a fradulent paper for cash.
No one has collaborated dick concerning that paper. As a matter a fact a French CT guy CANNOT corroborate the results with his own WTC dust experiments.

Please stop dealing with the frauds.

20. Again, "factually inaccurate"
The fraudulent paper was accepted for publication by one employee whose motives are undetermined, but it was never published.

"Please stop dealing with the frauds."--a laughably ironic statement.

26. Interesting that you cite this guy as proof that Harrit, Jones, et al, are frauds.
Edited on Sun Aug-16-09 10:15 AM by eomer
In the same page that you link to and ask us to accept as proof that Harrit, Jones, et al are frauds, this JREF French guy also espouses these other views:
  1. Your JREF French guy's conclusion that, rather than thermite, what was used to bring down the towers was a secret ray weapon that uses small balls of light to induce cold fusion.
  2. Your JREF Fench guy's views that there is a secret world order (powers that be) that consists of a collusion between international oligarchs and a Zionist extremist network.
  3. Your JREF Fench guy's views that these PTB may resort to the use of diverting asteroids or causing earthquakes in order to reduce the population of the world.
  4. Your JREF French guy's theory about a secret technology used by UFOs that NASA is hiding.
  5. Your JREF French guy's views that 9/11 was the work of the CIA working together with the "Zionist world order".

Do DU rules permit linking to this guy? I'm not too up on what constitutes an anti-semitic website, but this one has lots of theorizing about evil Zionists.

Here is the Google Translate translation to English for the page you've cited:
http://translate.google.com/translate?prev=hp&hl=en&js=y&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.darksideofgravity.com%2F11%2520Septembre%25202001.html&sl=fr&tl=en&history_state0=x`

For some reason it stops translating a ways down into the page, but it does translate enough to get a feel for the French guy you bring as an expert to prove that Harrit, Jones, et al are frauds.

could issue relatively recent audio and video communiques, my money's on hiding. What I find hysterical though is how ''truthers'' respond to debunker claims with, ''well, we can't really be sure of anything'', then turn around and proclaim they know the WTC was brought down in a controlled demolition.

I frankly hope the ''truth movement'' survives for a while; it would be hard to replace its entertainment value, although the ''birther'' movement is a close second.

If DU were to ever shut down this forum or restrict it to only OGC Defenders, where would you go to show off your
latest Randisms and jaw jaw with other Randites? There's only one other forum that I'm familiar with that would allow
you to strut your stuff. In fact, the only one I can think of only has two or maybe three D.O.R., and their insults
and hard viewpoints reach an extremely small audience of savvy people. There it's the D.O.R. who are the object of ridicule.

What would you do if you didn't have a stage here at DU to perform on?

Harrit, Jones, et al (the authors of that paper) are doing continued analysis on the red/grey chips and are writing a follow-on paper.

I am sure Bin Laden is shaking in his boots.

The original paper was a scientific joke right up there with people who claim they have scientific proof of creationism except that the creationists have become much better at obfuscation so their BS is sometimes harder for people to spot.
