He follows all the stuff going down in Afghanistan, etc. When Massoud was killed, he said "Something big is going down".

How right he was.

On edit: Al Queda killed Massoud because they knew exactly what would happen in retaliation for the 9/11 attacks. They knew that Massoud was the best unifying figure for a post-invasion Afghanistan, so they took him out. They're not stupid.

So far, their long-range analysis has been spot-on.
