My daughter's friend (left the dark side today)
Edited on Wed Jul-13-05 12:42 AM by Horse with no Name
has been a staunch Bush supporter. She is currently attending UT-Arlington.
My daughter and she have had some lively discussions regarding the elections, etc, and my daughter always sends her the latest "bad news" regarding Bush.
But even still, they are good friends.
HOWEVER, she called tonight.
Apparently in a political science class she had today, they had a guest speaker in.
He was talking about 911 and that he was in Washington DC the day it happened and that they saw the airplane flying low toward the Pentagon and that they DID see an F16 go towards it and shoot it down.
He also told the class about the secret adminstration, and that how they would find out in 10-15 years that the plane with all the heroes in it that went down in Pennsylvania, was shot down by the US.
I've heard several theories regarding 911 but have never heard this one, but nonetheless, it made several of the kids in that classroom think.
I have forwarded some links regarding 911 to her, and she has now changed her political leanings from "Republican" yesterday, to "anarchist" today.
I have faith with some encouragement, this bright young lady will realize what this government has done--in her name--and will lead her to become a great activist someday. She definitely has the passion.

2. Exactly!
Edited on Wed Jul-13-05 12:46 AM by FreedomAngel82
If you haven't give this girl the site http://www.reopen911.org I also believe the US shot down that one plane. Remember last year Donald Rumsfeld did a press conference and he let it slip? After that he didn't do any more press conferences. Also on Alex Jones' prisonplanet.tv website there is a caller who calls into Howard Stern's show and they talk about 9/11. One guy claims that the plane was shot down. I believe it was too. So if we shot down that plane why not the other two who hit the WTC? MIHOP. This also shows me they were PREPARED. Now she and all these other students can tell other people. I'm glad the 9/11 truth movement is still out there!

7. I think
that site is probably the best and most reliable 9/11 site. I also suggest the film "Loose Change." Dzika has it. Message him and see if he can give it to you. It's a great film and not too much to wrap your brain around.

19. Evidence that UA 93 was shot down
. Evidence Indicates Flight 93 Was Shot Down
http://911research.wtc7.net/planes/analysis/flight93/index.html

Colonel Donn de Grand Pre (ret), was the top US arms negotiator and dealer to the Middle East under the Ford and Carter administrations. He states that UA93 was shot down by the North Dakota Air Guard , 119 th Fighter Group out of Hector Field, Fargo, North Dakota, flying out of Langley Field on 9/11

Other military related people have said similar

4. Rumsfeld slipped TWICE when he said...
'and the plane that was shot down... er, brought down over Pennsylvania...'

TWICE he made that mistake while speaking...

Because in his mind - that particular truth is not unsettling enough.

Though I admit I'd be one to salute the pilot that shot down a terrorist hijacked plane destined to kill civilians... even if I were on it.

But for Rumsfeld, it's standard knowledge... and he doesn't have the savvy to 'auto edit' his speech.

If you can ask her why she changed her mind from what he said. That's seriously some amazing guy.

11. That was very simple
She did address that.
The government lied.
She can't support a government that lied about something so important--when in her eyes, the truth would have been hard, but at this point, the truth was necessary. Decisions regarding the country were made on that "truth", and if they lied about that, then they certainly wouldn't feel bad about lying about something else.
The evidence he laid out was regarding 911--about the F16's, about the government's official story not matching that of people who were actually there and witnessed the events.
I guess it is all going to boil down to one thing for everyone--apparently her threshold was lying about 911.
Apparently this speaker was very passionate and made a very good case. I will definitely find out who he is.

10. "... in Pennsylvania, was shot down by the US."
Oh, you should have heard the row this one started.

The other night, Hubby mentioned that flight, and I said, "The one they shot down?"

He went into his usual "You're such a know-it-all" thing, and I told him all I know is, if a plane's headed for the Pentagon or the White House, and it's NOT shot down, someone's not following procedure.

An aside. The night DUH-bya made that speech, and the widow of one of the passengers was there, and DUH talked about the plane "crashing", I don't care what anybody says, a look passed between him and the widow, as if she'd been told, but mum's the word, he's still a hero, etc. I wonder...

UM, are we gonna get in trouble for discussing "theories"?

15. As I said
I'd never heard that particular theory.
But "this speaker told them that he saw, with his own eyes while in DC that day", an F16 go up in the air after the low flying plane.
These young adults drew their conclusions from his eyewitness account.
But I never heard it before tonight.

18. Has this person gone public with his story other than the class? Sounds
It sounds very implausible, so to get consideration he would need some other evidence or a pretty credible background. There were lots of witnesses and none saw anything like this.

Though there is evidence consistent with an F16 at the site from the Pentagon slides, etc. And some witnesses who said they heard sonic booms.

17. My head hurts!
So now we have the theory that an F-16 shot down the plane that didn't hit the Pentagon...or did hit the Pentagon....or crashed into the Pentagon lagoon....or overflew the Pentagon and flew into Reagan National....or was never there in the first place....or was a A-3 or a 727 or a cruise missile or a Global Hawk or a...

My head hurts!!!!!

20. headspinning
That's why Dr. Griffin's assertion about the missile batteries at the
Pentagon is so important. It makes the whole divisive missile/757
debate moot.

John Judge and Nicholas Levis have also spoken of these batteries.

I'd like to confirm them or make them all liars.

Geez, why would you "like" to make me a liar?

Well, I'll have to disappoint you. I'm getting it from Judge and I'm guessing he's Griffin's source as well.

Judge has Pentagon connections going way back. Many years ago his mom was the highest-paid female employee of the U.S. military.

A few years ago he was organizing a permitted demonstration at the Pentagon. Personnel took him on tour of the grounds and he was even on the roof. He says he noticed the missile batteries and pointed to them. His guide told him those were for defense against stray planes, because they were getting threats that "the Muslims" wanted to crash a plane into the building!

If I recall this was in the late 1990s after Bojinka became known.

You can probably google it or find it at Dave Ratcliffe's site (google "John Judge" "David Ratcliffe.")

Given that there is a witness on record, the plausibility factor for me is very high. I mean, it's hard to believe they wouldn't have defenses up around the building, especially once they went as far as holding mass casualty rehearsals for exactly this scenario of a plane hitting the building (October 2000, as you probably know).

Edited on Fri Jul-15-05 01:09 AM by anarchy1999
No doubt your head hurts. It's tough. Peace

There is lots of info here at DU and all over the web.

Hope you feel better tomorrow. Ever heard of "depleted uranium"? It does not exist either in a not healhtful way. Hope none of your kids are there anywhere near it.

Probably not.

Once again, peace, welcome and I hope your head does not hurt so much in the morning.
