National Geographic (and Fox) to show 9/11 4-hr mini-series Aug 21:
I've been seeing ads for this show. At first I didn't know about Fox (it's disclosed in the last paragraph of the article) - So I logged on and starting reading what I thought would describe a whitewash. Then, it got interesting (see below). And then, I saw the Fox participation. So I'm thinking whatever they expose will be stated in such a way that it can be explained or shown to have changed now (like, we really learned our lesson on this one folks...)

I think they must know how close we're getting.
This needs our watching and response when it's over.

"National Geographic Channel Goes 'Inside 9/11' to Reveal a Clearer Picture of the Day That Redefined Our Nation

Sunday, August 21, 2005, at 9P
Inside 9/11
War on America

Also airs:
Monday, August 22, 12A
Monday, August 22, 7:00P

snip...
"Inside 9/11" also tackles the difficult questions about our intelligence efforts and their failure to protect us despite early warning signs that pointed to al Qaeda terrorists living in Tucson, Detroit, Chicago, Kansas City, Atlanta and Brooklyn as early as 1988. Expert analysis comes from inside the intelligence community, including Michael Scheuer, former CIA senior intelligence analyst and bin Laden expert, who says in the mini-series, "America has never had an enemy who has been more precise in warning us what we're in for."

The show also includes testimony pinpointing missed opportunities, such as that of former senator and chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee Bob Graham, who laments that "early on there was an FBI agent who had suspicions about flight centers in Arizona ... none of those recommendations was followed ... the fact is that the FBI, from 1998 onward, had several of its own people saying that there was a very real, very specific threat involving Middle Eastern men in U.S. flight schools."

Investigative journalist and terrorism expert Steve Emerson adds, "9/11 occurred with 19 guys living here under their own names, registering their own driver's licenses, and yet able to outmaneuver a 30 billion dollar law enforcement intelligence agency network."

Why did the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) suppress information on security lapses identified by its own investigators and not take action after receiving 52 warnings that specifically mentioned attacks intended by bin Laden? "Inside 9/11" includes the first-person recollections of an FAA whistleblower, whose testimony to the 9/11 Commission was omitted from the final report. He testified that, "although we breached security with ridiculous ease up to 90 percent of the time, the FAA suppressed these warnings. Instead we were ordered not to write up our findings (in some cases) and not to retest airports where we found particularly egregious vulnerabilities to see if the problems had been fixed."

"Inside 9/11" asks the important questions: How did this happen? How can we make sure it never happens again? The mini-series looks at the work of the men and women who must answer these questions and figure out what's next in a much-changed world. This is the story of individual lives touched by tragedy, and of a nation that was forced to move in a few hours from delusions of invulnerability to belated vigilance.

"Inside 9/11" is produced for the National Geographic Channel by Towers Productions, Inc. Jonathan Towers is the executive producer for Towers Productions. Alex Flaster, Lance Hori, Rachel Milton and Bernie Dudek are producers. Nicole Rittenmeyer is supervising producer. For National Geographic Channel, supervising producer is Collette Beaudry; executive producer is Michael Cascio; executive in charge of production is John Ford.

Based at National Geographic Society headquarters in Washington, D.C., the National Geographic Channel is a joint venture between National Geographic Television and Film (NGT and F) and Fox Cable Networks.]

1. BTW - Here's how their PR machine is at work on the stolen election:
They know we're not going away on THAT one either!

We must be getting awfully close to some main stream exposure on this. Why else are they mounting a campaign?

2. Yep, they figured a booster shot was needed.
Folks are starting to think.... which requires a booster shot of koolaid to help remind them they're not supposed to think.

6. And so interesting because I heard several conservative news outlets
comment negatively on Hiroshima's continuing to mark the anniversary of the us dropping the bomb there.

A little 'get over it' mixed with 'but they fail to note their own part in it happening'... I was totally disgusted.

7. I'm not sure I understand what you mean.
Are there any polls or studies to show that people are starting to believe that the government was involved in 9/11. This is an honest question - I live in a blue state where a vast majority of the population are Democrats and I am very active in local politics yet I can't recall anyone voicing any doubts about 9/11. Everyone dislikes Bush and is very uneasy about Iraq yet no one talks about 9/11.

8. I think we feel better because Sibel is getting some ACLU help
that might well push her story and it's connections into the media FINALLY.

I agree though, most people are afraid to bring it up because you get labeled as a nut case. I still only talk about it here and with my closest friends who already agree with me because in a normal conversation, there's just not enough time to lay out all the evidence and sound credible.

9. see this article for more:
She and other whistleblowers have info that support the "Let It Happen On Purpose" concepts and once she gets in the news, all of that could finally come out.

Edmonds told U.S. News that she and other whistle-blowers from the FBI, CIA, National Security Agency, and Department of Homeland Security are so furious with the lack of congressional oversight on intelligence and national security that they plan to launch an advertising campaign targeting government officials who have allegedly endangered national security. The newspaper ads, which could be launched as early as two months from now, would name officials, their titles, their salaries, where they work, and their alleged or documented wrongdoing, says Edmonds. The campaign would be funded by private donations and would be coordinated by the recently formed advocacy group she heads, the National Security Whistleblowers Coalition.

10. My question about Sibel..
is that everyone here thinks that she can prove MIHOP or LIHOP. My reading of her is that she is blasting bureaucratic incompetence, corruption and infighting - which is something that most Americans will accept concerning their government. Has she specifically spoken on some of the common CT ideas like controlled demolition, remote airplanes or missiles into the Pentagon etc? Can she name names concerning these theories or is her perspective much narrower than that? I can believe (and hope for) that her efforts will lead to a massive house cleaning at the FBI and CIA but what evidence is there that it will go further then that?

11. The early info from Sibel had to do with censoring and/or
roadblocking info transmissions that had to do with predicting the "hit" on 9/11.

I'd have to search again to relocate the stories and am on my way out today so if anyone else can help here, please do...

The original info that came out with Sibel had to do completely with exposing 9/11 set-up.

Now, the bribery stuff seems to be taking center stage but whatever gets her into the news is good for getting the info flow started.

3. If only we'd be less trusting of the Arab infiltrators and spent more on
national defense, this never would have happened.... :sarcasm:

4. I don't think it matters what nationality....
they point their finger to. They don't even need to spend more money on national defense. No neet for the PATRIOT act.

Just fire the incompetent folks who were in charge. That would save a lot of money and a lot of lives.

But wait, ...that makes too much sense. :banghead:
