Tracking the Terror Money
This may be old news to some, but Lou Dobbs had on Rachel Ehrenfeld tonight.
She wrote a book, "Funding Evil". On the program they were talking about where the money came from. Saudi Arabia was like #1 and Lou had to ask her why B*sh was not doing something about it. She said that they didn't want to alienate the Saudi's.
How can our country coddle the Saudi's when is is pretty clear that they are the crux of our problems?

American Center for Democracy:
http://www.public-integrity.org/

Latest:
Rachel Ehrenfeld, an American-Israeli researcher in the field of terrorism financing who lives in New York, finds herself these days in the middle of a lengthy legal quarrel with the Saudi billionaire Khalid bin Mahfouz, one of the subjects of her book “Funding Evil – How Terrorism is Financed. The book the Saudis don't want you to read.”

Bin Mahfouz, 56, holds place number 210 on the list of the World's Richest People published by the economics magazine “Forbes,” with a fortune estimated at $2.8 billion dollars. He was the chairman and owner of the largest bank in Saudi Arabia, “National Commercial Bank,” and today he and his family are involved in a number of investments around the world.

His name hit the headlines during the collapse of the “B.C.C.I.” bank, with which he was connected as an investor and an external director. When the bank collapsed it was revealed that the bank was involved, among other things, in a series of money laundering cases, financing weapon deals, and illegal bank purchases. As part of the settlement with the authorities Mahfouz paid a total of $235 million, but no indictment was issued against him and he did not have to admit any wrongdoing whatsoever.

Bin Mahfouz is also one of the defendants in the trillion dollar lawsuit posted by victims of the World Trade Center disaster. He was sued as part of a long list of Saudi government officials and businessmen.

Iran was also mentioned on Dobbs, so the Iran war could come soon, because the b*shies would rather hold hands with the Saudis.

1. Book Review
http://www.eufunding.org/terror/FundingEvilReview.html

Even the most devastating terrorist attack carries a surprisingly low price ticket. The organizers of the September 11 attacks are reported to have received change from their $500,000 stake money. Killing tens and injuring hundreds - whether in a Bali nightclub, a Jerusalem bus or a car bomb in India - sometimes costs less than a good meal. Nevertheless, the infrastructures of international terrorist networks cost billions of dollars.

Funding Evil, the latest book by Dr Rachel Ehrenfeld, director of the American Center of Democracy, details the organizations and their methods. Ehrenfeld shows the links and similarities between terrorists as diverse as The Hizballah, the many Palestinian terrorist groups, Tamil Tigers, Colombian narco-terrorists and radical Islamic terrorism around the world.

As US Attorney General John Ashcroft has said "Terrorists cannot terrorize without money...Those who knowingly finance terrorist organizations are just as dangerous and just as responsible as those who carry out the ultimate acts of terrorist violence." Funding Evil details how this funding of terror has taken place, exposing the state sponsorship, corruption, drug trafficking, money laundering and other criminal activities that have allowed these organizations and their leaders to amass fortunes and feed the spreading tentacles of terror. Ehrenfeld's timely book doesn't stop there, but recommends practical steps that can be taken to curb it.

3. Thanks Hoot
Something didn't sit well with me on this subject. She seems to be a little one sided on the Israel/ Palestine situation.
I was hoping that some good Du'ers could steer me along.
http://www.questionsquestions.net/docs04/911truthstatement.html

From the article:

Neocons

Rachel Ehrenfeld, Ph.D., Director, American Center for Democracy, author, Funding Evil. By far the most bizarre name to find petitioning for "9/11 Truth". Ehrenfeld is a member of the ultra-hawkish neocon think tank, Committee on the Present Danger, whose honorary chair is George Shultz. Also on the CPD is 9/11 suspect extraordinaire and "peak oil" promoter, James Woolsey, who wrote the foreward to Ehrenfeld's book which focuses blame for 9/11 especially on Saudi Arabia. Notably, Ehrenfeld has been a participant in a new series of conferences in Israel which began in 2003, the "Jerusalem Summits", alongside Richard Perle, Daniel Pipes, Yossef Bodansky, Frank Gaffney, et. al. Another attendee and speaker at the Jerusalem Summits is John Loftus, whose line on 9/11 is that it was entirely the work of "Nazi Islamofascists" in a secret alliance with anti-Israel traitors in the US government. A somewhat similar thesis is taken up in Mike Ruppert's FTW in its recent series on Ptech, which has given mention to Ehrenfeld in a rather positive context.

A look at the 9/11 Truth Statement signers

Brian Salter, questionsquestions.net
31 January 2005 (updated 1 February)

On October 26 2004, "100 prominent Americans" signed their name to a petition calling for "immediate inquiry into evidence that suggests high-level government officials may have deliberately allowed the September 11th attacks to occur." This was aimed, among other things, at the now-moribund effort to bring about an investigation by New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer.

As with anything the truth is a little harder to find.

4. Now it is more confusing than ever
I originally thought that all signers to a 911 Truth statement were good people.
Depopulators
New World Order

Just when I thought I was figuring it all out.

8. Did you see the questions link
It wasn't only neocons, but depopulators and one world government, etc.
Even someone who has questioned W, David Ray Griffin has an agenda to initiate new religions.
From what I see their are many more aspects to this whole affair then what meets the eye.

10. Depopulators and one world government? What on earth?
I was under the impression those were cranks, not weirdos taking over our government. And even if they're not, what are they doing in the 9/11 truth movement?

Are you seriously saying that there are actual depopulation and one world government movements?

13. They are listed on the Questionsquestions link
I have always heard of that stuff too and discredited it. Of course there are definitely people out there pushing it.

Depopulators

Richard Heinberg, author, The Party's Over, core faculty, New College of California. A "peak oil" promoter and population reduction advocate, whose book sports endorsements from Virginia Deane Abernethy and David Pimentel.

Abernethy, also on the Truth Statement, is the author of Population Politics and up to her ears in connections to pro-eugenics and population reduction organization, especially those with a racist or anti-immigrant bent, including Carrying Capacity Network, Population-Environment Balance, pro-eugenics journal Occidental Quarterly. She is also a Member of the Council of Conservative Citizens, an white supremacist anti-immigration group funded by the notorious Pioneer Fund.
http://www.newcomm.org/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=4

Heinberg's other endorser, David Pimentel, is a Cornell University Professor and influential population reduction advocate, associated with the organization Negative Population Growth (www.npg.org) which receives funding from billionaire Warren Buffett, and a member of the U.S. Sustainable Population Policy Project whose agenda is "The Development and Implementation of a Domestic Population Policy in the United States, to Achieve Long-term Environmental and Economic Sustainability." In the past, Pimentel has argued for the drastic reduction of the world's population to two billion (and reportedly has lately been lowering that even further).
http://www.mnforsustain.org/uss3p_cosponsors_and_participants.htm

Mike "peak oil" Ruppert's support for the "two billion or less" population crash scenario is already well known and hardly needs detailing. In a speech last year, he quoted the eugenicist Charles Galton Darwin, lauding him as "distinguished". Darwin was a founding member of the viciously racist journal Mankind Quarterly, which was financially supported by the Pioneer Fund; serving alongside Darwin on the MQ board was Otmar Freiherr von Verschuer, who was Josef Mengele's mentor.

19. I think this is a little unfair and misleading...
I can't speak about anyone else, but I have been following Heinberg and Ruppert for some time. The last team they want to tied into is the neocons. They may speak about population reduction, but it is almost always in the context of sustainability based on their position that food production is going to fall in the face of massive energy declines and the last thing we need at this point is exponential demand for finite resources. What Ruppert always says is that he doesn't exactly know how we organize population control, but that the neocons likely have an idea and it is sure to be ugly. Here is his position.

18. of course it's been infiltrated

Has there EVER been a movement that hasn't been infiltrated?

However, "the money" and "who benefits" are always the best questions to ask after a "disaster".

That was a good refresher.
What would be your opinion of why Rachel Ehrenfeld would be squealing about the Saudi's if she is a good neocon and this would endanger B*sh ties to them?
Maybe nobody cares anymore and the Saudi's are coming up fast on the list for PNAC.
