Still more media coverage- "Pakistan bribed 9/11 Commission" allegations
Back to Islamabad

"Pak spent huge money to get findings dropped"

These are the 5th and 6th mentions of this charge in mainstream outlets; the first, an editorial stresses the credibility of the original publication, Friday Times, a mainstream Pakistani publication, mentions earlier accounts of $100,000 being wired to Atta on the order of the ISI chief, and that he was in DC the week of 9/11, and discusses the implications for US/India security and relations.

911truth reprinted the story that started it, with some analysis, background, etc:

The 3 articles that followed shortly after:

When I first heard about this I assumed it was a lie- maybe some Pakistani lobbyist was trying to justify how they blew the lobbying money they'd been entrusted with- or disinfo- the Pentagon pays to plant articles in Iraq- why wouldn't they be doing it everywhere? I figured- the Commission was hand-picked for their conflicts of interest, if not their sympathies, in order to engineer a coverup; would they really stoop to accepting a bribe? And, what with the politically sensitive connections between the Bush family, Bin Laden family, CIA, ISI, Taliban and "Al Qaeda" of course they were gonna coverup Pakistan's role. Now, with the repeated mentions, it seems journalists and editors over there, who are closer to the sources, are taking this seriously. Perhaps one or more on the Commission just saw this as a way to make a fast buck doing something they were gonna do anyway. Taking a bribe is a much smaller crime than covering up for the real 9/11 criminals.

1. Thanks for this.
No Yankee coverage for some odd reason.

Heh.

2. Thank YOU
Have you ever googled your name? You must be one of the most prolific 9/11 bloggers.

The media silence is deafening. These charges are OUTRAGOUS!!! Good Americans want Dick Cheney to stand up and say "Go fuck yourself!" to the Friday Times.

Actually, i did email my reps and the NY and LA Times asking when they're gonna cover this. Hope others are as well- the Establisment is afraid of public opinion; otherwise, why do they invest so much in manipulating it, instead of telling the truth?
