OKC damage vs. 9/11 damage
I read recently that the OKC bombing damaged 300 total buildings. I just wondered why the plane crashes on 9/11 didn't have the same effect when the plane explosions were supposedly as large or larger than the truck bomb explosion in OKC. While I'm sure the collapse of the Twin Towers damaged many buildings just by spraying debris all over Manhattan, why didn't the explosion at the Pentagon have the same effect?

1. plane explosions were "supposedly" as large or larger than the truck bomb
Says who?

fuel 'explosions' are by definition not actual explosions.

It's an explosion if the shockwave in the exploding material travels faster then the speed of sound in the material - usually a lot faster. that's where the exposive power comes from.

A fuel 'explosion' no matter how violent it may seem is really just combustion.

2. So most of the damage was from the plane, not the explosion?

3. You have been misinformed.
It wasn't the airliner and fuel alone which brought down the buildings. It was a combination of airliner, fuel and igniting the contents of the building and the buildings construction which brought down the buildings. The OK federal building was reinforced concrete and didn't rely on a centeral core to stand. Conspiracy sites don't compare apples with apples.

4. Only three buildings ever totally collapsed due to fire

WTC I, II, and 7. 7 wasn't hit by a plane and the fires were very limited.

6. What do you mean Chomp?
Did Building 7 rely on a central core -- yes or no?

9. Hi Yatar
The statement was: only 3 buildings ever fell down due to fire, WTC 1, 2 & 7.

That is not true IMO.

It was a combination of fire, structural damage and building design that caused the collapses. That is certainly the case with 1 & 2.

On 7, my understanding is that the trauma caused to it by the callapose of 1 & 2 was more than enough to doom it.

Regards.

Interesting theory. And where do you get this understanding? How come no other
buildings were similarly traumatized? And why did FEMA say it didn't know how
WTC7 came down, and why is NIST's report on 7 five months overdue if the answer
is so clear?

Your theory is very similar to one I've seen recently in this video:

Enjoy.

8. I'd suggest you start with Granny Smiths, Red Delicious, McIntosh, and
Red Romes before delving into the more esoteric ones.

10. OKC Building Was Wired - Here's PROOF (Video)
THIS is the actual footage showing multiple bombs being removed - it's a small file and loads fast.

http://www.indybay.org/news/2006/04/1817341.php

I think it's worth starting it's own thread for (but, I'm too new to start a thread). If people can grasp that our government is behind bombing us, the whole 911 thing will fall into place.

There's some saying about how a conspiracy isn't designed to FOOL anyone - it's just gives enough to give the morally irresponsible an excuse not to act.

If the american public has the fact that OKC was not what we were told, MANY will begin to act, I believe.

I hope.

If it somehow disappears from indybay, it's in other places on the internet and I can provide the links - just ask me.

11. Pentagon
why didn't the explosion at the Pentagon have the same effect?

Because the nearest buildings are the Navy Annex, several hundred yards away, up a hill, and rather shielded by some greenery. If there had been buildings closer I imagine they would have been rather damaged by the explosion. Some buildings downwind (ie, in south Arlington) *were* damaged by the smoke, and even where I lived in Alexandria the smell was pretty intense for the next 2 days or so (and there's a sewer treatment plant between where I was and the Pentagon).
