Which Bush will show up tonight?
The very calm and sedated Bush? The sighing, irritated, stumbling Bush? The very angry Bush? The overly hyper and happy Bush?

Folks, Bush is in the "Gore" trap. Because of his brutal 1st debate showing, any move anywhere will seem like overcopmensating.

Play on this.

1. The dumb one. That's the only one.
The one that is cranky because facts are encroaching on his fantasy world.

4. I agree - the overcompensating one.
Edited on Fri Oct-08-04 08:48 AM by Richardo
I posted on this the other day.

The man does not get nuance. He'll swing his behavior pendulum all the way from 'making-smirky-faces' to 'automaton'; from 'answers-too-short' to 'ad-libbing-my-ass-off-to-fill-time'; from 'too rigid' to 'gesticulatin' and scattin' all over the place'.

It's a two-bags-of-popcorn night.

Jeb Bush...He's smarter and quicker with answers than the president-select. But, then again...my kitten is quicker with answers than scrub.

7. Dear God, please
let it be the one who showed up to the last debate, but this time have him speaking in tongues.

8. Without scripted questions or being wired, he's working without a net
Edited on Fri Oct-08-04 08:59 AM by rocknation
He can function only when he KNOWS that he doesn't have to fear being critcized, heckled, questioned, and most important, unloved. He came apart last week because he realized he wasn't in complete control and not everybody in the audience adored him for staying on message!

9. Bush ain't Gore
The media treats Bush like a King. Like they don't want to hurt his Majesty's feelings. I found it funny that karen Hughes said the American people won't elect a president based on his facial expressions. In 2000 Gore clearly won the debates but the media said his sighing and eye rolling made him look like the teacher's pet from hell. Bush will get a pass tonight even if he changes his persona completely. No matter, Kerry must win. We will win because these are serious times and we need a serious president that we can trust and the media knows this. They know it is the point of no return. The American way of life is at stake.
