TINFOIL HAT ALERT: The "earpiece" and the explanation. |
|
Is it entirely possible that * did, in fact, have an earpiece in debate 1; that he did, in fact, intend to cheat; and that he did, in fact, get found out?
What I'm saying here is, could the Democrats have known about the earpiece, discovered the frequency prior to the deabte, and not jam the thing, but send the frequency for enough of a ride that it did not reach Bush in timely enough a fashion so that he stood there with the deer in the headlights look, questioned the guy prompting him, and generally look the fool?
It sure would explain a lot, especially the newfound confidence the Busheviks are putting out about his Debate #2 appearance tonight. The may have figured out what happened and have prepared for it in tonight's debate!

I now return you to your regularly scheduled DU experience.

3. I've thought about that |
|
But that wouldn't explain similar performances in non-scripted moments, such as recent and rare press conferences or his debacle on Meet the Press.

7. Probably wearing it during press conferences |
|
Remember the disastrous one in the spring when a reporter asked if there were any mistakes he regretted and the idiot stammered for an embarrassingly long time saying he was sure something would "pop in to his head".

5. You think they wouldn't have gone public with that? |
|
Bush trying to CHEAT during the debates? I'd have been ALL over that.
On the other hand, yeah, the intelligence community (which has no love for BushCo after they dumped all the blame on them). . . that's the kind of thing they might enjoy.
I find it much more likely, though, that Bush is just stupid.

23. One must do some major contorting to make the "earpiece" story work |
|
Even the "flak jacket" theory leaves some things out, especially if you look at modern body armor. Boddy armor is more body conforming than in days past, so the lump probably wouldn't be there.
My theory is, The Chimp's tailor screwed the pooch and the jacket just doesn't fit him well.

15. No, He DID Wear An Earpiece and NOBODY Messed W/ It |
|
Edited on Fri Oct-08-04 12:01 PM by Beetwasher
He's just THAT bad, really. That's why he said "Let me finish!" because the earpiece was working and he was responding inadvertantly to his coach.
He's just completely incompetent. The deer in the headlights look was him waiting for the coach to finish his first sentence or first few words. That is all.
Usually he's better with it because he's had time to rehearse his speech or his statements. In a more unpredictable setting, like the debate where his answers are going to be in a more random order he HAS to wait a bit for his coach to start him off properly.

That he wears an earpiece and somebody, either mistakenly or purposely, puts a low grade electrical charge through it. Not only would we have his facial contortions to chuckle at - he'd be dancing about swatting at invisible flies. Nice picture.....
