Everyone should be prepared for * to win the debate tonight. |
|
Not that I think he will, I just don't want to come in here tonight and find all of you crying and boohooing that Kerry is the nominee. He is our nominee and I support him come good debate or bad. * has been practicing in this format for some time and he is not about to loose the election tonight. The Repub spinmeisters will be ready with happy faces for the press. We have to prevail in this election come rain or shine. Kerry is my man come rain or shine. Can I get an AMEN!!??

1. All he has to do is LOOK somewhat more coherent than he did last week |
|

and he's guaranteed a tie, with the press singing his praises all weekend. Kerry will have to do something that will blow him out of the water!

11. Exactly, you get my point. Everyone is expecting a repezat of last time. |
|
We cannot let a tie mean a Bush win. Everyone is talking about Bush doing well if he doesn't make angry faces. It is more likely that * will wink at people tonight.

What do you think the effect of a tie or a bush win tonight will mean? I think this debate is less important than the first because of the format and the growing momentum. It may energize the opposing sides, but the homestretch work will make a bigger difference.

14. I think a tie will be spun as a * win. We have to make sure that doesn't |
|
happen. it is not enough for * to look happy and speak clearly. And we have to make sure that any lies that kerry does not get a chance to counter are countered here tonight. Now that we know the press is looking.

9. I think it's a strong possibility. Performing better than last week will |
|
be viewed as a "win" by media and his ever-loyal followers. And he's good with "folks," being such a reg'lar guy himself who's busy werkin' hard fitin' ter'rists.

20. If he just shows up they'll call it a draw. |
|
Kerry could mop the floor with him and media will declare it a "clean victory for Bush."
I fully expect Bush to tell some outrageous lies like Cheney. Then on page 1 the press will praise him for his performance and on page 30 something they'll print the story on how Bush wasn't exactly correct on a few things.

21. I just don't see and never have |
|
this "regular" guy perception regarding bush*. The guy comes across as an arrogant condescending little jerk off. I don't care how many times the media whores tell me otherwise, I know what I see.

I believe the media will give him credit for merely showing up.

12. There is no question that Bush will do well in the debate tonight |
|
...on the superficial aspects, anyway, which is most of what people notice. He's good at working a crowd, he loves a setting where he can roll up his sleeves and strut around while telling his pathetic pseudo-compassionate anecdotes, and when he feels confident he comes across as genuine. And let's face it, these are things that many American voters--and TV commentators--love.
So I wouldn't be at all surprised if Bush is declared the winner.
But there is no Bush debate performance great enough, or Kerry performance bad enough, that would dissuade me from supporting Kerry. At the end of the night Bush will still be the Commander in Thief, and Kerry will be our next president.

Expect the repugs to spin the spinners' spin. They get thier material from Dick "Pull it out of my ass" Cheney.

16. Good Point! It's not the debate that matters. It's the spin! |

17. Even if he shits his pants tonight, the whores will spin it as a win |
|
I'm serious, there is very little Kerry can do to win tonight. The whores are in line and ready to call it for Bush. They are certain he won't be anywhere near as bad as last time, so he wins.
The expectations are lower on this debate than they were for the little bastard in 2000!

is that the media seem to be a lot more aware this year of Rove's pre-debate "expectation lowering" strategy that worked so well for * in 2000. Hopefully that means they might be a little less likely to declare a non-drool performance as a "big victory."
Another good thing for Kerry is the fact that this debate is competing with baseball, and is on a Friday night (the most popular time to release bad news) so even if the chimp's managers are able to spin it as a "Bush win," the news will already be old by the time Monday rolls around, when most people start paying attention again.

The first debate is always the debate that has the most viewers. Also a lot of voters will form their opinion with the first debate and that will be the end of it. Remember the old saying about first impressions, they are the ones that count.

LOL. The media can't do much more even if Bush did by some miracle outperform Kerry. Cryed Wolfblitzer too many times already and ate crow.
