Local Activist (& friend)to Speak about Sinclair on Democracy Now.
Wally Bowen is one of Amy Goodman's guests on DemocracyNow! today,
Wednesday Oct. 13. He's talking about the Sinclair Broadcasting issue at our
local level. If you can get WPVM, www.wpvm.org (you can also listen on line) or have satellite TV you can catch this
program on FSTV (DISH channel 9415 at noon or 7 pm) or on Link TV (Direct TV
channel ?375).
He does a good job with the minute he gets and puts our Sinclair
Media Watch, www.sinclairwatch.net on the national map. Catch it if you can.
Bonus: Naomi Klein has a major expose of James Baker, Madeline
Albright, and a billion dollar scandal involving Iraqi debt relief, the
Carlyle Group, and others.

I have been trying to get DUers to take note of www.sinclairwatch.net for a while now. Unfortunately there has not been a single comment offered. This website was in place in our community long before the latest Sinclair controversy. For those with a local Sinclair station, just imagine if YOUR community had something similar in place!
There is a list of our local advertisers, information on licensing, monitoring of local news broadcasts etc.
This is what grass-roots democracy can do, noteworthy enough to be addressed on Democracy Now!
I am somewhat disappointed that I wasn't able to get DUers interested.

I can't believe the lack of support here.
I've been trying to share useful information so that others can find ways to fight Sinclair (and help Kerry) in their own communities.
