Response from Pepsi about Sinclair
I sent a letter to Pepsi concerning Sinclair Broadcasting and this is the response I got. Looks like efforts with them need to be handled at the local level.

Hello!
Thank you for taking the time to contact us at PepsiCo. Accurate and
balanced journalism is important to us, and we appreciate your houghts
regarding Sinclair Broadcasting Group's upcoming plans. We have no national advertising buys scheduled with Sinclair Broadcasting, nor do we plan to advertise on the program in question. We will also make our bottlers aware of this situation and share these concerns so they can take them into consideration as they plan their local marketing efforts. We will follow the resolution of this issue
closely.

Given your concerns, we also would suggest that you communicate your
views directly to Sinclair Broadcasting Group's President and Chief
Executive Officer, David D. Smith. He can be contacted at Sinclair
Broadcasting Group, 10706 Beaver Dam Road, Hunt Valley, MD 21030, or
via email at comments@sbgi.net

Again, many thanks for bringing this to our attention. We value your
comments, and equally, the constructive spirit in which they are
offered.

2. They called me. I like them.
I bought their products today because of the courtesy with which they treated me. :)

3. Call Pepsi at (800) 433-2652
I just talked to a very polite and sympathetic spokesperson for Pepsi at the above number. She said they were getting a lot of calls and they were well-aware and "concerned" about Sinclair's plans. She said that they were carefully watching the situation and were keeping track of consumer comments.

call Pepsi at (800) 433-2652.

4. this is bullshit
Pepsi is Pepsi, local or otherwise. If the National headquarters even thought for second this kind of broadcast would go against their belief system they would twist arms anyway possible to get what they wanted. I have said this same exact comment to about 5 other national companies I have called regarding Sinclair. I suggest everyone phone not only local but national Pepsi headquarters and explain to them this exact understanding.

5. PepsiCo is playing nice now..
but check out their past contributions. There's a reason Nixon helped get them the exclusive American soft drink concession for China.

6. People, People
Nobody's advertising on this show!! All the letters I've read so far has said this. This show is running with no commercials. They are taking the high road, which is exactly why no ads. Plausible deniability.
