Doesn't this ignorant assbag realize that the IT jobs that are leaving the country for India and other places ARE the 21st century jobs so many had trained for and had been retrained for when manufacturing went away? Get an education? For fucking what? I hope people are really paying attention out there, this asshat is so far out of touch with reality it's pitiful!

4. Right On!!!! I'm in that boat. I went through retraining into an IT field |
|
during Clinton and got good jobs right away, worked my way up and did very well. As soon as Chimpy comes into office, the telecom company I was working for went belly up, and I've been mostly unemployed since. The only thing that the retraining and my college degree have got me the last three years is a series of low paying entry level IT temporary jobs. So I've BEEN retrained for the 21st century, and guess what???!!! It isn't worth CRAP anymore. Now Chimpy talks about Community College as if that is some sort of panacea to the problem. Yeah, right, they are already overcrowded, expensive and underfunded, and what the hell should anyone study there, anyways? What ARE the new 21st century jobs if they aren't IT jobs? Bush's whole idea of job creation is just plain BOGUS!

http://www.free-home-business-ebooks.com/sfi/Make_Money_At_Your_Kitchen_Table_In_Your_Underwear.htmlhttp://www.thedealguide.net/deals/carltonsheets/http://www.johnbeck.net/ Golden opportunities, you could be rich! C'mon, it's easy <sarcasm off> Seriously, I'm betting that before long, the unemployed/underemployed are going to start getting brow-beaten for not taking advantage of all the "opportunities" that abound in this great "ownership society" they keep harping about. They have lost all touch with the reality most of have to face on a daily basis.

7. Yeah that was so incredibly insulting. |

I kind of wish Kerry would have called him on it. Since the question was about what he would say to someone who lost his job, Bush was essentially telling all of the out of work engineers and others with advanced degrees to "go back to community college". He also said the same thing about affirmative action. "To all of the women and minorities who are paid less than their white male counterparts: you're simply undereducated. Go back to school."
I guess when we kick Bush out of his job he can go back and take a course at the Crawford community college.
