What we can do specifically to help!
Edited on Thu Oct-14-04 01:38 PM by TexasSissy
I'm excited, we're all excited. Kerry slam dunked at least two of the debates, and maybe all three, depending on who you ask. And Edwards at least held his own against GoCheneyYourself (I personally think Edwards edged out a win). But we have a long row to hoe, ya'll! Electoral-vote.com STILL has Bush with considerably more EVs. There's no doubt that Kerry has gotten more voters on his side in the last few weeks...but those voters have to reside in CERTAIN STATES for it to be that helpful.

Kerry probably got more Texans to vote for him, but in the end, that won't help win the race.

So we should all try to do things that will directly help Kerry (and us) WIN this damn thing. None of us wants FOUR MORE YEARS of hell!

Let's start a list of specific things we can do. Some of us are joiners, some not, some have more $$$ than others, some live in the battleground states. All of our situations are different. But there MUST be something each of us can do during the critical next two and half weeks. Here we go:

1. Contribute to the Dem. Party (www.democrats.org).
2. Call or e-mail several of the Sinclair advertisers and tell them you are going to boycott their products or services since they advertise with Sinclair Broadcasting (the show IS NOT DIRECTLY SPONSORED by advertisers, so don't say that). It's just since they advertise with Sinclair generally, at any time.
3. Join Democrats.org phone bank. You click on the phone link on the home page, and they give you a list of names & ph. nos. of Kerry contributors or volunteers that are in battleground states, and you ask them if they can join the boots-on-the-ground task Kerry task force in their area.

What else?

1. I have been hearing than single women are still not voting. I don't know
if this is true but if it is we should go find them and get them on board. I'm not sure what the registrations final date is in TX but Ca here is the 18th. Just a thought. Posters and talking is all I can think of now. Prayer

2. themmob.com
Go there. They are targeting women and have a mail writing campaign to swing states. If anybody has problems getting the names and addresses, PM me. I get them from a different lady who pulls them from this group. You can get 5 or 10, or as many as you want. Thanks!
