2. Just wait until the "Strategic Vision" polls are refreshed with ones
from Zogby or some other half way credible source. Sure, New Jersey is tied, as Bill Cosby used to say, "RIGHT!"

3. These polls were done predebate
and a bunch were Strategic Vision polls, which skew heavily toward Bush. For instance, they have NJ as a tie. Bullshit. And a Chicago Tribune poll has Kerry up 4 in Ohio and 3 in Wisconsin, but the SV polls are being given precedence over those for some reason. Those states are tossups and are moving in Kerry's direction.

4. Number One... Ignore electoral-vote.com...
Number Two... It takes a day or two for a "bounce" to appear...

6. That's a pretty old map
A lot of that red has been replaced by blue.

I'd say that map was computed around September 15th. Things have changed since then.

Zogby's got a swing-state map that's up to date. (Sorry, but I don't have the URL handy.)

7. Which EV statistics/prediction sites are best?
I've been checking http://synapse.princeton.edu/~sam/pollcalc.html

daily.

Are there any other good ones?

8. You'll need to wait 3 to 4 days
At least that was the case after the 1st debate. It takes some time for 1)the debate perception to sink in, and 2)Pollsters to take the polls.

By Monday you'll see Kerry well ahead, IMO.

9. Anthing that says Bush is going to win New Mexico
is not worth a click of the mouse.

I'm sorry, but this guy has got to stop taking the latest poll and start sifting through those polls which have been around and reliable for the longest.

Survey USA is a bogus poll, allied with Gannett Publishing, that uses small, biased samples that are probably from their right wing newspaper subscription rolls.

I sincerely doubt it's the only bogus poll he's using.

No, his fascination with the "latest, newest, shiniest" is not going to be met by using reliable polls like Harris and Zogby. However, they will be accurate and they will prevent his site from being used by the GOP to suppress the Dem vote.
