Will this be the week for the October Surprise? |
|
I have a strong suspicion that this week we are going to see some news come out that is going to be very damaging to Bushco and snuff out what little hope he had for stealing the election. The reason I feel this way is twofold: 1. There have been several stories of late about the feuding between the old line spooks at the CIA and the Administration. The spooks would love to take these guys down and probably have the ammunition to do it. 2. Kerry is a former prosecutor and known to be a strong closer. Like any good prosecutor you always save your best witness for last to make the best possible impression on the jury. In this case the voters are the jury and the witness? Well let's just see!
I think that CIA/Kerry were waiting for the debates to be over so that there were no distractions from the media. If it is going to happen it has got to be this week.

1. Certainly not Bush*s October surprise. |
|
That will come the Thursday before the election when the terror level is raised to RED: "Unspecified threats and increased chatter lead us to believe a major attack against the US is imminent. The terrorists hope to disrupt the US elections with a significant event. National guard troops as well as local and state police will be positioned at all polling places."

4. Impossible. . . there aren't enough guard troops available, or |
|
police for that matter (a significant number of whom also happen to be in the National Guard).

3. I got my October surprise already a credit for almost $500 |
|
...from FEMA and a bright red, white and blue plastic card to get it.
They are clearly trying to buy voter satisfaction.

Maybe it's wishful thinking, but what if Kerry has something solid showing Bush is really planning for a draft. Could that be why he's talking about this a lot right now. Priming the audience and then going in for the kill closer to the election?
