They seem to have decided that The Base is more important for their victory and are concerned that Cheney's daughter and her homosexuality will keep a significant number of the Evangelicals home like the late news of Bush's DUI did in 2000.

Manufactured outrage that makes no sense and gives lie to Edwards' and Kerry's admiration for their familial loyalty.

I can't see how they can feign outrage now, when Alan Keyes called Mary Cheney a "selfish hedonist", and they said nothing.
