Democrats are missing opportunity to help Kerry BIG TIME! |
|
What gets me is that Ted Koppel's Nightline did a show a couple of nights ago where they showed that they went to Viet Nam with reporters and camera men to prove one way or the other if Kerry's version was true.....The Nightline crew PROOVED by interviewing Viet Namese people who were there at the time of the incident, that what Kerry and his supporters are saying is the truth and that the Swift boat veterans are lying......WHY DON'T THE DEMOCRATS USE THIS IN A TV AD or do something with it??....The Swift boat creeps are still putting their lies on TV, aren't they?.....

3. they also blew it by letting that creep oneil on repeating his lies |
|
repetitively - over and over and over and picking up books and just being an obnoxious jerk = but this is the rw way and unfortunately it seems to breed more of this obnoxious behavior every where -
I find the lost of courtesy in this country the biggest problem and rw and rethugs are the worse possible people
and kerry is so much more about the future at this point
bush is going to take us down even more evil paths

4. It may have occurred to them, and they may have tried. |
|
Nightline appears on ABC. ABC is owned by Disney. ABC/Disney wouldn't want to be perceived as partisan, so I doubt they'd license any of the clips from the show to be used in a partisan political ad.
Just a theory, mind you -- I don't know if the Kerry campaign or the DNC has pursued this, but I would guess if they did, they would be refused permission and, if they used it anyway, might be sued.

7. You may be right about using clips but couldn't the Dems reference the |

Nightline show in their ADs without using clips?....I don't know, I'm just curious..

8. To be honest, I don't know either. |

I just have to suspect that they didn't think it would be convincing to the right people -- as DumpGump points out below, many undecided voters are probably Republican leaning mouth-breathers who don't really plan to vote at all, and if they do, they'll doubtless vote for Bush*. Showing a foreigner advocating for Kerry won't make a snowflake's difference in hell; they're much more likely to give credence to the shilling of a homegrown liar than a truthful foreigner because they're ignorant xenophobes.

6. Who are you going to believe................ |
|
Edited on Sun Oct-17-04 06:16 PM by DumpGump
if you're the average "NASCAR Dad" or "Security Mom"? Would they believe some GOOK (not meant to be offensive, just saying what I KNOW is their sick minds) or a true American Patriot like O'Neill and his horde of lying, sickening scum? Why..........the true American Patriot, that's who!
As much as I'd like to think this would resonate with most Americans, I TRULY believe that it would be dismissed as complete propaganda by the "commie, Liberals". You're giving the people in this country too much credit for their information dissemination skills. Close to 50% of the people in this country support George Bush.........'nuff said.
