1. Carlos Watson is an amateur
content with repeating what the CNN/Gallup pollster tells him to say.

2. Only the far right wing christians
that Bush has been sucking up to with apocalyptic foreign policy and anti abortion and anti gay rhetoric. Every other republican is deeply demoralized, and every democrat energized, by the Bush campaign.

3. Carlos.................
needs to adjust his medication. There has NEVER been more energy in the Democratic Camp and this will manifest itself on election day. I'm looking forward to seeing Carlos' astonished, incredulous looking face after the election.

15. That comic nails it!
I've been canvassing nearly every day.

Democrats are not apathetic anymore.

Most Republicans are not energized.

Except for the * cult minority.
But they're nutzo.

9. They are using Gallup poll numbers
which claim higher voter "enthusiasm" among Republicans. 77% of Republicans "enthusiastic" compared to 65% of Dems. You can check it out in this link.

http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/10/17/poll.sunday/index.html

What Gallup claims is the complete opposite of what I've seen locally. There are so many Democrats turning out to volunteer for the first time ever. I know that for me, this is the first presidential election that I have volunteered for in my entire life (I am 46).

14. 42% republicans vs. 30% democrats polled...
Edited on Mon Oct-18-04 08:03 AM by Flubadubya
That's the last spread I have seen on the population of respondents to the Gallup poll. This is what they (Gallup) say will be the "turnout" on Nov. 2. Bwahahaha... boy is that EVER WRONG!!!

We'll show creepy little bobble-headed Frank Newport whose "poll" he can sit on.

This is how their phony polls will backfire -
they are suppressing their own vote.

18. Unfortunately I can't agree with you-
if it's one thing Repubs ALWAYS do, it's get out the vote. Repubs don't stay home if it rains, or if the polls aren't looking good. Sadly, many Democrats do.

26. republicans vote at a higher percent, but democrats vote in higher numbers
More democrats than republicans voted in 1996 and 2000. However, dems had more bush supporters in their party than rupubs have gore supporters in theirs.

25. Yeah, Carlos is taking "enthusiasm" factor, not motivation
Edited on Mon Oct-18-04 10:21 AM by Thought Criminal
Bush supporters are consistently more enthusiastic about their candidate than Kerry supporters (though Kerry's numbers are gaining on that measure). But I still believe that Kerry supporters are more motivated than * supporters. And whether that motivation comes from love of their candidate or hate of his opponent, who cares? As long as they get out and vote! And in my gut, I feel Kerry in a landslide!!

12. Look at the inside statement of Zogby this a.m.
Kerry is back to consolidating his support among Democrats, 82%-11%, and now holds a 44%-37% lead among Independents (who still have 14% undecided).

That is right there with any stats I've seen on Republicans.

Lamb put him on CSPAN because he's a republican. CNN put him on because he's a republican. He got his own show because he's a republican.

29. Did you hear his reason?
He said (paraphrasing): "Bush's lead in the latest Gallup poll is greater among 'likely voters' than among 'registered voters' - what does that mean? Republicans are more fired up to vote."

DUH. or - Gallup's method of determining a 'likely voter' sucks, lol.

27. ridiculous
I've been a Democrat all my life, and I've always been involved in the party and in various campaigns.

I've NEVER seen us so united, so determined, and yes, so energized, starting with the stolen election in 2000. What's shocking to me, and proof of our 'energy', is that even my most hard-core anti-war friends are out there working for a ticket where both members voted to authorize the war. If that isn't united, I don't know what is.

CNN can go to hell. Their boy is going down.

Black is white, up is down, Iraq is free, the economy is sound, and Republicans are more energized to vote in the election.

Go back to Bizarro World!
