Given Bush's well-known inability to speak properly, it seems more than a little dishonest to somehow insist that he didn't know the date he was referring to.

I agree if anyone thinks Bush's mistake indicates he "forgot" when 9/11 happened, they have misunderstood the impact of the story. But if some infers from this story that Bush is so scripted that he has to read (or mis-read) the date of 9/11, the story fairly undermines the Cheney/Rove campaign theme/lie that the resident in chief is speaking from his heart when in fact he is almost universally speaking from a tele-prompter.
