Incumbent presidents with 44 percent approval two weeks before an election don't win.

2. Yes but read the favorability portion also
It states Kerry is seen as less faverable than Shrub. And only 2 presidents have won when their favorability has been lower than their opponents Kennedy and Reagan. Thats kind of scary.

ALSO anyone find the actual sampling used % of repukes to Democrats

3. how can 57% think the country is on the wrong track
but still want to re-elect Bush anyway? What part of 'stay the course' do these people not get?
