if you look at today's polls: Zogby and Rasmussen, tie; CBS, Bush up 2; and ABC, Bush up 3. It's even narrower if you use CBS's RV sample, which also has a tie.

in Battlegound states (the only polls the really matter) Kerry is ahead in the aggreatat of the 18 states by a scant 1%. 46.5 to 45.5 but Bush has flatlined.

Call CNN and get Judys voicemail number. Not as hard as it sounds.

Call up a couple times asking to speak to people in marketing and pick a subordinate. Then go on a spiel about how your medium sized uhh.. landscaping business would like to air some advertising on CNN during a certain time. Say you're willing to buy ALOT of time but appear reluctant.

Have the first employee refer you to a higher person up the chain. During this time you need to be learning the lingo. Get the layout of your extensions. Find out the floor number the staff are on... say you're going to visit the CNN centre on the tour. Now, chances are if they're mundane 9-5 workers then they're trying to meet an advertising quota and they will do ANYTHING and i mean ANYTHING for you to sink those dollars in including sending you free autographs. This is when you express that you'd love to see in the newsroom (as you were a journalism graduate at U of ?).

Find out the floor, the office of Judy or other CNN'er and then find out the syntax for their extension system.

She could be 4412.. 4th floor, Section 4 office 12. Then you talk to her assistant who will generally just direct you right on through.

The PA's of the "talent" are generally disgruntled overworked students who will just bat you through as nobody really gets as far as them without it being official.

I've known PA's for the talent sections and they generally are cooperative if you press on them enough.
