Me and about 50 million other voters
just got a quarterly 401K statement. Don't know about everybody else, but my ICMA plan LOST money last quarter, and only earned .7% for the year to date. Gas prices have spiked nationally to over $2.00/gallon. On the news I see VERY ANGRY seniors lined up for blocks to get flu shots. EVERY morning show was covering soldiers that refused to obey orders in Iraq- and as best I can tell, almost everybody seems to be siding with the soldiers. I have repeatedly read that undecideds generally break 2 to 1 against the incumbent. Considering this god awful news cycle coming immediately before the election, I think we can realistically expect to see them break 4 out of 5 against four more years of this shit.

1. Undecided means
not an evangelical or a kool aid drinker.

3. i heard women that are "undecided" tend to make up their minds
very late in the campaign..so I am guessing that these people (whoever the fuck they are) are going to break for Kerry for the domestic issues...and the blunders Bush has made and the promises he has made but has broken...Its really disappointing to see all the media spinning hard for Bush..but I knew that was coming...so its not shocking and I don't buy it...sometimes I wonder if I am setting myself up for a huge letdown on election day..but then I get my head cleared up again..and realize...NO POLLS can determine the number of people that have never voted that want this fucker out!

4. The conservative pundits say Kerry is lying about the flu
shots.

What they don't seem to understand is the uproar didn't come from Kerry. The uproar is coming from seniors. And no matter what you tell them about there being enough vaccine, if they want a shot and they can't get it, the seniors will be up in arms.

Suck it up, Bush. Ya just pissed off quite the large voting block.

6. What bothers me is that I saw Kerry get a Flu shot
and I can't even get one and I am in need of protection. How did Kerry rate one so quick?

9. Where did you see this -- just curious
Don't forget he's a cancer survivor. And he could spread the flu to thousands of people in his campaigning.

I don't have a problem with him being high risk and getting one. So are health care workers.

But where did they show this, if I could ask?

14. 2 reasons
He is about to be President of the United States- and you are not. He is recovering from cancer- and you are probably not. Any other questions?

5. What did I do wrong (right?)
Today's statement on the Quarter Rate of Return was +3.85%

Granted I have seen much better but for whatever reason it held its own in this latest struggling economy.

8. I guess it's where one puts their money down
I wonder how the Kerry / Bush odd are leaning among the big time stock market players? Does the stock market have much influence in the general election?

13. Your fund manager must haven choosen wisely.
Index funds didn't fair nearly as well as you did, for instance Vanguard Institutional Index (simulates S & P 500) lost 1.87% this quarter. Dow Jones Wilshire 5000 showed about the same loss.

Perhaps your funds were weighted with holdings in oil % energy which did very well in this quarter. Surprise, Surprise.
