"Possibility of a split decision like 2000, only this time in reverse." |

Greenfield on CNN just now; his report coming up.
Screw the electoral vote victory. We want the whole package.

1. But Jeff, doesn't Bush have it sewn up? |
|
After all, he has an 8-point lead in your own CNN poll. :eyes:

3. I've been thinking about that alot, for several weeks. |
|
Look at the margins in some of those moranic red states....he could EASILY, well maybe not easily win the popvote.
I REALLY hope he does, cause that may be the straw that breaks the Electoral College camel's back
let's hope so
Even the pugs may be angry enough to want to change
hard to say, as they very well know that with a consistent 60% voter turnout, they'd NEVER win another presidential election, based on popular vote, hence their attempts to INSTITUTIONALIZE vote suppression and no paper trail BB voting
right?

4. All of these new voters didn't sign up to vote for Bush |
|
(I hope.) If they were so excited about him, they would have cast a vote for him four years ago.

5. Except in 2000, they predicted Gore might win EV w/o popular majority |
|
None of the pundits were saying in 2000 that Bush would end up losing the popular vote but winning the electoral vote. After all, Bush was leading in all the late polls (except for the final Zogby poll, which was the only one consisting entirely of interviews taken AFTER the Bush DUI story broke). Because the polls appeared much tighter in several key battleground states, there was a lot of speculation that Gore could still win the electoral vote without a popular majority.
You'd think some of this nimrods would have bothered to check their statements back in 2000 before making these predictions.

6. Is this how this will play out? |
|
Kerry will get the Supremo nod this time to even out the bad call of 2000! It's like one of those basketball calls to even the preceding bad call up! Then the Repugs will have there chance to act all indignant when we in fact won both times but due to their corruptness they make it all look so shady.
