Will this election restore my faith in the people ? |
|
Or will they show themselves to be ignorant followers of an ideology? Will they surprise most of America with insight and vision or will they fall prey to the manipulative political ads? Will they vote for what they think is in the best interests of America or will they vote for what thye think is in the best interests of their Party, because they believe their Party has the best interests of America at heart? I hope to wake up on November the 3rd with a renewed faith in my fellow Americans.

One of my neighbors, who is a deputy sheriff is voting for Bush, despite his department having suffered great resource loss due to a struggling county.
Sometimes I just don't get it.

3. The only thing that restore my faith in people is a JK landslide! |
|
I don't think we can tell if that's going to happen or not. Polls are very uncertain, and all over the board, so nobody believes them. A small, but certain JK win sure won't do it for me! The American people have to show that a BIG MAJORITY of them hate shrubs tactics and want the entire govt to change.

4. My confidence in the voters was shaken in 2002 elections- no balance |
|
Always before it has seemed that the majority of American voters understood the wisdom of having balanced government with checks and balances. However in the 2002 election, my confidence in the voters was shaken badly when they allowed our federal government to be controlled by one party marching lockstep behind a corrupt dishonest and incompetent leader.

5. That is also what I hope for. |
|
I hope that on 11/03 we wake up to promise for the future and not, fear, fear, fear. I hope that Americans are wise enough to know that we cannot have 4 more years of *. I hope that the clowns in the media are stumbling over words and muttering incoherently because of all the shilling they have done for the GOP. We will either find this out on 11/3 or we will find out that sadly this country is made up of a lot of dumbasses. I hope the former is true and that I don't have to face the latter.

7. I don't see how it could. |
|
Bush* will get around 50% of the vote give or take. How can you have faith restored with that fact?
If Bush* got 35% or less, then my faith would be restored. That's the wingnuts and fundies. He can have them. It's the others who should have enough brains to know better that make me depressed.
By all that's reasonable, Bush* should lose in a major landslide. Anything short of that shows far too many people are morons.

12. same thoughts I had after reading the post |

nothing short of a popular vote landslide should restore anyone's faith. 50 million voting for Kerry's opponent plus another 100 million not voting is cause for concern.

Win or lose, Bush will end up with something like fifty million votes. Fifty million! Think about that for a moment.
The only thing that would restore my faith in the people is a Kerry landslide.
