Colorado DU'ers: what's your view?
It appears that Bush has been up in many of the recent polls. What's your sense? It does appear that Amendment 36 will fail.

1. I never thought Bush would lose Colorado
There are almost 200,000 more Repubs than Dems in this state. The most interesting race is the Coors-Salazar contest. I think that Salazar has a chance, though a slim one. As always, it depends on turnout.

9. I think we can win
that's why I'm canvassing for Kerry, Salazar, et al.

but this state is still fouled up.

In Denver, there are Kerry signs everywhere.

In the south and southwestern suburbs, Douglas County and Berthesg...Colorado Springs, there are bushturd signs everywhere.

5. Driving around Denver you'd think Kerry
is going to win 95% of the vote. Kerry's internal polling must show he's close because he's campaigned here alot.

I still think Kerry is going to win most of the swing states, even the ones that show Bush ahead now. GOTV is working, and it doesn't register in the polls.

10. Colorado will elect Sen. Kerry
Salazar will grab the senate seat abandoned by Campbell.
I think other upsets are also in the making.

11. Purely anecdotal...Metro Denver...Lots of Kerry signs, bumper stickers
Complimentary articles in the Denver Post and slightly right-leaning to neutral to Kerry approving articles in (rightwing) Rocky Mountain News, virtually ALL of my co workers in my Arvada medical clinic support Kerry...

Of the 190,000 new voters who registered, it's been reported that the largest affiliation is independent, then Democrat, the lowest number of new voters are Repubs.

It's looking good...I'm doing door to door canvassing on Saturday to do whatever I can to make our state blue.

I am very optimistic. MKJ
