Irish Echo: Voices of the People! |
|
The Irish Echo, which is the largest Irish-American newspaper in the country, continues to support the Kerry-Edwards ticket with hard-hitting articles and editorials. This week's edition has a wonderful poll on the election. I'll quote from two responses:
The Rev. James Martin, an associate editor of the Jesuit weekly publication "America," says, "I would crawl over broken glass to vote against George Bush."
The Rev. Joseph Kelly from Manhatten responds, "I can't understand how Bush hasn't been impeached. What does it take?" He talks about Nixon being a crook, and adds, "But this man has brought a country to war on information that is at best misleading, and at worst false. And he has violated all sorts of human rights."
Lamh foisneach abu! ("The peaceful hand to victory!")

Sounds like something I'd like to pass around.

I didn't have a "link," because I subscribe to the paper. Every week it's filled with great articles, including a few that sound to be authored by one of the fellows on DU.
