and they CAN be persuaded, as most of 'em already have major doubts about Bush as his administration has gone exactly the opposite of what they believe (big gov't, etc.) Witness the conservative voices who have even reluctantly endorsed him.

I follow both sides and read conservative (not wingnut) sites, etc. The issue that has been a MAJOR tipping point is the way people are treated at Bush rallies/appearances. The most egregious recent one was where two teachers were bounced simply for wearing "Protect Our Civil Rights" t-shirts. Kerry would do very well to get these two out on the trail to tell their story. Pronto.
This really resonates with reasonable conservatives - I've heard numerous examples of it being the last straw for a lot of 'em. The campaign should be pumping it a lot more.
