Any good sources of info about the "46,000" allegedly dually registered |
|
(NY and FL) voters that the NY Daily News wrote about in some expose? Someone posted about this on a forum I participate in, I googled and could only find RW sources like Washington Times, FOX, humaneventsonline etc. echoing the same original NY Daily News story.
I'm assuming these are mostly old people who moved and never bothered to strike off the old registration.
I don't want to link RW sources but will post a link on this thread if needed. I was just wondering if any further investigation had shed further light on this.
I don't wish to appear freepish on this thread, just looking for info, and I already tried to do some homework myself...

In Texas and Arizona. Arizona never got around to taking me off the rolls. I notified the county (Maricopa) in 1999 that I did not live there anymore after being called to jury duty, but when my parents went to vote in this February's primary they saw my name still on the list.

More young than old, judging by the first name. And some phone numbers that belong to different people when I make precinct calls. This info isn't going to go back to the election office, so I don't know how these people get off the official rolls. So, if they registered when they moved to a different county, they could be registered twice. With populations as big as NY & FL, 46,000 doesn't seem unreasonable at all. Just people moving is the most likely explanation.
