is W wolf ad an attempt to repeat the succes of the Reagan bear ad?? |
|
I don't remember the details very well....an ad that visually showed the 'real danger of the Russian bear' and ridiculed the ability of the democratic party to deal with the threat
I remember being furious whenever the ad played.

2. No, it's just another blatant attempt to push the big red FEAR button |
|
I personally prefer countering by saying, "And you thought when we said they were 'crying wolf' it was just metaphorical!"

9. Absolutely. It is just more crying wolf. |

I have been telling people to either buy duct tape for protection from the wolves or vote for Kerry.

4. I think so -- but my take is this: |
|
In order to hunt the wolves (terrorists) in the woods (world) We must chop down all of the trees.

they've been trying to find ways to align themselves with Reagan without openly doing it (seeing as everyone, including Reagan's son, has said "don't you dare use his death as a way to garner votes"). I'm sure the team has left no stone unturned.

I remember hearing that chimp tries to subconsciuosly remind people of Raygun. Chimp's stupid walk is even suppose to remind people of Raygun's. :silly:

8. Yes. Olbermann (Friday show) had all three ads on. |
|
Wolves. Bear. Eagle and ostrich. He explained that the wolves ad was a take off on the Reagan/Bear ad.
My impression:
Wolves - cute.
Bear - reminded me of Gentle Ben. Maybe back in Cold War days it was scary. But it isn't now. It looked very dated. duh. lol.
Eagle and ostrich - perfection.
