4. it's like iowa caucus's all over again

during the final stretch to iowa both kerry and edwards were criticized by the pundits for going positive during the last part of the campaign. well they were wrong and kerry/edwards finished 1 and 2 in iowa. bush is fear mongering to shore up his base while kerry is going positive to appeal to swing voters. this says more to me than all the polls in the world about the state of this race. kerry knows his base would traverse an active volcano to vote against bush on election day, so he can appeal to a wider audience while bush is almost pleading to his base to get out and vote for him.
