4. Did she really?
I can't see the fear factor in it myself. Someone said last night (and I agree) that if you have to explain that it's scary, um, well then it isn't. Who knew?

I also like the rapid response website (pretty sharp, funny): http://www.wolfpacksfortruth.org

She seemed whorish.

2. It is funny isn't it?
But, ya know, after watching F/911 yesterday, I still don't understand how people think that Bush is "better on terrorism." Kerry should be using the Wolf ad! Why didn't Kerry go after Bush for the 9/11 debacle?

7. The Crossfire audience laughed, too
According to a post I read here at the great DU. Puppies are cuddly. Can hardly wait to see what Jon Stewart does with this next week.

Also, there is the boy who cried wolf aspect of that commercial.

11. My reaction too
The first time I saw the ad, I'm little embarrassed to admit, I said, "Who's the pretty puppy?" outloud. This ad couldn't be less scary...

12. Gwen Ifill is underestimating the intelligence of the American people.
She thinks we're all sheep and will be scared of the wolves.

I haven't heard this mentioned, but the voice of the woman doing the voiceover is obnoxious to me.

14. Count Floyd agrees with Gwen
Edited on Sun Oct-24-04 12:25 PM by Enraged_Ape
That's really SCARRRRY!

With an admistration that has been accused of crying "wolf" so many times on the subject of terror, how could the Bushies not have seen the pants-wettingly-funny irony in this ad?

15. They said ad worked great in test audiences-WHO??
Maybe 9 months ago when they made it but after all the lies and conventions and kerry winning the war debate they are stupid to show it and think it would scare us. Wolves? my god they are dumb they should have known after all their lies we would just say they are crying wolf!
