They can steal our Kerry/Edwards signs but they can't steal our votes

Someone yesterday stole 23 Kerry/Edwards signs from my town. Today me and my 4 year old daughter spent 46 dollars to replcae them all. I am sure they will steal them again, but they can steal our signs but they cannot steal our votes. I guess I can understand why they stole the peoples signs, beings there were only 6 Bush signs in our conservative town. I guess they think if they steal our signs that we will forget to vote. The jokes on them.

1. You should make a sign

that says "You can steal our signs, but not our votes. Kerry will win Nov. 2". Take a photo, send it to the paper, along with the information about the stolen signs. Should make for a nice article.

2. They just stole ours again too.

This is the 2nd time! It is SO frustrating. It's easy to say they can steal the sign but they can't steal the vote, and we know this to be true, but geezus .. it's so disheartening .. I just want it to be over.

3. File a police report everytime they do it

It wouldn't hurt to put your name on your signs so that if they are found there is proof that they were stolen.

4. Ours have been stolen 3 times,

the neighbor's FIVE times! He just called for another sign, and this time we cut it apart (into two signs), and used clear packing tape to tape them onto a plastic barrel that he had filled with stones. Then he's going to use Tanglefoot around the edges, so if anyone tries to peel off the tape, they'll get gunked up - and that shit is hard to get off!

Mine haven't been stolen since I've put tanglefoot on them - but I don't know if anyone has TRIED or not.

We have reported to the police each time, but I hadn't thought of putting our names on them (DUH) - that's a good idea.

I also put up a "Stealing our signs won't help bush steal another election" sign. I don't think anyone gives a crap, but it makes me feel better.

Oh, and today a woman came out to pick up a door we were giving away, and when she got here, she said, "WOW, you guys have a good show of support for Kerry on your road!" YEAY!
