There´s an editorial endorsing Kerry in the Des Moines Register which could be the kind of article that gets emailed all around the internet.
This editorial is great for 3 reasons:
(1) It sounds calm and level-headed - not "shrill".
(2) It points out how Kerry on live TV demolished the Republican caricature of him - and politely implies that Bush is all swagger and no policy.
(3) It reminds people that Bush has been more "liberal" than anyone on two key conservative issues - runaway spending and deficits and more Federal government on our backs.
If you have conservative friends that need persuading, this could be the editorial that could sway them. I think if you´re just mailing it to a few friends, you can legally quote the whole thing rather than just sending the URL.

It's time to see Kerry as the person he is, not as the caricature created in the president's campaign ads.
Kerry won the presidential debates because the man Americans saw on live television differed from the caricature. Americans saw a thoughtful, experienced, exceptionally well-informed candidate who cares deeply about his country and its people....
Yes, Kerry is liberal. But what's to fear from a liberal president? That he would run big deficits? That he would increase federal spending? That he would expand the power of the federal government over individuals' lives? Nothing Kerry could do could top what President Bush has already done in those realms.via corrente.blogspot.com
