Was it Sinclair that banned the Dixie Chicks
from their radio stations?

Someone at church said this, and I was wondering if it were them or Clear Channel instead.

If Sinclair, then they just upped their hypocracy quotient another 100%.

4. Yes, Clear Channel.
I think they also asked all of their affiliates to remove 'peace' songs from their playlists.

'Ohio' by CSNY, etc...

I think that's why Neil Young was picking on them during the Greendale Tour.

5. No, it was Clear Channel radio stations.
Sinclair is the one that refused to allow the ABC affiliates that it owned to air an episode of Nightline where they read the names of all the soldiers who had died in Iraq up to that point.

They are also obviously the ones that tried to pull that Stolen Honor fiasco, watered it down, and ended up pissing everybody off.

It all points to the same thing though. Big media conglomerates need to be busted up, there needs to be change in media ownership laws, and the Fairness Doctrine should be reinstated.

7. Sinclair Is TV Only...Cheap Channel Is Only One Radio Monster
Another is Salem Broadcasting...the company that owns the worst wing nut talk stations "The Patriot" and their "Fish" format that attempts to blur popular music, politics and religion that's "Family Safe".

Lots of hypocrisies here and once the election is over no one will care.

8. FISH
Is that the Christian radio format? We have a FISH radio station. I didn't know that was their typical call letters. Piped in, is it?

Even though I identify myself as Christian, I can't listen to that stuff. It makes my teeth itch.
