Help on ideas for my post election party!
Hey guys, I am having a few parties, one of which will be at my hizzo, on election night. We have pool tables, ping pong, darts, ect. But what else would be nice to have at my party? I will have music, drinks, and maybe some food. What would you propose to add to make the night memorable?

1. Okay, maybe weird here, but what about a couple of places
set up for conversation? Someplace away from the din of celebration. A place for people to have "no-shit" conversations, as in, "no shit" there I was.......etc.

Have a grand time!

:hi:

2. Folks! It's a bit too early to be thinking of party favors...
We need to keep working. It ain't over yet. The false sense of victory here today is like doing a touchdown dance on the one-yard line! Too soon!

My advice? A victory for Kerry will make it memorable. Other than that? Just have some good finger food (buy at Costco! they're Democrats!), and some cool Dem friendly music. The real star of the show will be the election results.

Please.. let's not get cocky here! Work, work, work!! :hi:

4. Don't worry, I am not stopping
I have worked as the campaign manager of a state election here in Tennessee and personally worked for the Kerry campaign and this Tuesday the Governor of our great state will be coming down for a get out the vote rally. We are working for the people, not the powerful!

6. Either way folks, we need to celebrate our hard work
If we win, thank god and it's about time. If we lose, still party and reflect but get ready because there is more work ahead.

But we should take it from President Gore that either way, take it in stride:

7. Party Ideas
Have some pretzels at the party.

And when Bush concedes, sing him off the stage with a rendition of Cat Stevens "Wild World..."

Oh, Shrubbie, Shrubbie it's a wild world
It's hard to get by, just upon a smirk, boy...
