3. IN the end, Bush will POUT as he storms off the stage of politics and
crawl back to his fake ranch where there are no golf courses of repute.

5. These newspaper endorsements could cement it for Kerry.
There are some voters who simply do not pay much attention to politics, until the last days before an election. Some of them are bright enough to read the newspaper, and may rely on endorsements. Others will hear about endorsements from friends and co-workers.

These are the "undecided" voters, about 5% at present. I suspect that they will break for Kerry about 4 to 1. So add a net of 3% to Kerry's current poll totals, and he will receive well over 300 electoral votes, winning some states that currently are leaning towards Bush. I think that we will know with certainty that Kerry has won, not later than the morning of Nov. 3.

7. Exactly. Many people are simply too busy to go over their sample ballots..
until the last minute. They will often look to their local news source for recommendations.

I know that, in times past, I have certainly marked my ballot in this manner.

12. Not only that ... the editors will continue to pull out the vote
for Kerry, through articles positive to Kerry, negative to bush.
The generals AND the editors are on our side.

8. It is a pretty damning assessment of Bush
They were not overly enthusiastic about Kerry, but in the end, decided he was the only choice. They are hopeful about him. At least this makes them seem fairly non-partisan.

I think it says a lot that they choose to make an endorsement at all when they have a history of not doing so.

13. Holy Mother of Pearl! This is HUGE!
I'm torn, though. It's another symptom of my beloved New Yorker cghanging her ways.

I'm an old fuddy-duddy, I know, but still.

But thank God they picked correctly!
