4. 49-47 among all registered voters.
That's doable. We need better mobilization. We can win this, even if this poll is accurate.

10. How?
That's my only question. Nothing has happened since the debates that would cause a rise in *'s popularity, quite the contrary. So.. How is Bush up in the polls? The only answer I can come up with is, Gallop is complete BS.

12. Well, let's do the math.
At this point in 2000, Gallup said Bush had a 13 pt lead and he really didn't have a lead at all. So if now Gallup says Bush has a 5 pt lead, that really means Kerry has an 8 pt lead. ;)

13. "Likely" voters is still meaningless
A lot of new people will be voting and the pollsters can't predict who is going to show up this time.

15. Again with registered voters it's a stastical tie
factor in the extra percentage to Repukes, and Kerry is leading.

Also, question I'm asking again "likely" voter-if you aren't a registered voter NOW isn't it to late to actually vote in almost every state??? My state's last day was October 12th.

http://www.michaelmoore.com/takeaction/vote/register.php

If you aren't registed by today(most were two or more weeks ago) you can't vote except for these States allow same day registering and voting:

Maine
Minnosta
New Hampshire
North Dakota

Wyoming-(says 30 days or same day?)

So you need to be registered or your likely status is worthless.

16. Two basic flaws of Gallup's polls

Flaw 1: They don't consider anyone over 22 years of age who didn't vote in the last election to be a "likely voter". So they're missing the avalanche of new voters who will break overwhelmingly for Kerry.

Flaw 2: They assume that republican turnout will be heavier than democratic turnout. This is contradicted by both history and present. Early voting shows an impressive democratic turnout, when it's usually republicans who tend to vote early.

25. Flaws with your flaws
Their likely voter model is more complicated than that, they take into account whether or not you voted in the last election, but it is not the only determination made.

And they do not assume any partisian turnout in their polls. Their claim is that a truly random sample is representative of the electorate as a whole.

I cannot understand what these people see in the current administration that would lead them to even consider voting for them.
