I've decided to swear of CNN for campaign news. I will rely on DU only
and well Yahoo.

I figure there are enough people here who can stomach CNN enough to post the info. I have gotten rid of MSRNC, FAUX, now I'm going to go Cold Turkey off CNN.

Why?
They are too slanted to be believed?
They clearly have an agenda and it really showed against Wesley K. Clark.
The commentators and writers angle their stories no matter how positive for Kerry against him and for *
Their coverage is Pro * all the way * gets more pix on the site, more time on air, when they announced endorcements they made a big graphic for *'s 1 and buried Kerry's 5 in a piece.

Because CNN has a slant and dares to pretend that they don't. They are off my 1 list and on to my $hit list.

Wish me luck!

4. Probably not the best idea
Seek knowledge/news everywhere...

Way too many conspiracy theories floating around here...need to be able to think without automatically looking to a paranoia...way too much overestimation of opponents...oftentimes events happen that happen to benefit someone, this does not mean they caused it.

7. Three Months Off-Kerry Winning
I turned off CNN about three months ago ... about a month and a half ago I stop looking at MSRNC.

I watch LINK, Free Speech TV, C-Span ... and listen faithfully to Air America and Ed Schultz.

I also check plenty of web sites ... including conservative and GOP sites. I read my local conservative newspaper, too.

I feel much better now that the corporate cable news propaganda is not polluting my brain.

8. I stopped watching TV years ago.
We don't have cable either. If you consider what corporations own our media outlets it goes far towards explaining WHY CNN and its peeps have a RW slant.

The all lie, Some more than others.

9. Good for you. I sword off cable "news" after day 1 of the DNC
I now watch them once in a while for a chuckle. I'm 1000% more sane today than I was before.

11. Swore off years ago, I'd just end up screaming at the TV. Hubby did a
very nice intervention, and I am much the happier and better informed for it.

12. I've sworn off too. For a few months, I'd go back every once in a
while to see if anything was different--Definition of insanity--doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.

They lie. So I just don't feed the beast anymore. People post enough here to show that the whores are still whoring.

Going bck and aback to se if they've changed is like a battered wife going back to her drunken wife-beating husband--maybe he's changed. It's self-abusive and, even for their sake, enabling. Fuck 'em. I just can't take it anymore, and I'm done with them.

We really have created our own universe--a few shows here and there, virtually a book a month from insiders, the internet (God bless the internet), liberal radio. I think it was Gandhi who said that evil can't exist on its own--you have to feed it. No more.
