What is your favorite flip-flop?? A neo-con in my class is giving a presentation about Kerry's flip flops and I just need some ammo. My favorite is:

Now: "With gas prices soaring in the United States at the beginning of 2004, the Miami Herald reported the president refused to "personally lobby oil cartel leaders to change their minds."

...that was then, now just today he said civil unions are acceptable.

5. Nation building ...

Bush was pretty adament AGAINST nation building during his 2000 campagin. He was so adament about it that he shut down the ONLY school that trained soldiers how to operate in that environment and be peace-keepers.

Well no Bushie is building not one but TWO nations. Poorly I might add!!!


Bush said he wanted Bin Laden dead or alive. Than he said he didn't care what happened to Bin Laden.

Bush said we must kill all the terrorists to win the "war". Than he said that we couldn't EVER completely destroy the terrorists.

Bush criticized Kerry for advocating a "more sensitive" approach to our campaign against terrorism. Yet Bush AND Cheney are caught on video tape using EXACTLY the same language.

Bush said his faith based initiatives were open to ANY demonination. Yet to date, not a single Islamic or Jewish charity are receiving funding.

Bush promised funding for schools through no child left behind. The money was budgeted, yet Bush refused to ALLOCATE it!!!

Bush said he was a uniter, not a divider. Yet he's divided this country and united the world AGAINST the US!!!!

Bush said he'd never commit troops unless the mission was clear and the exit strategy was well defined. Bush had neither in his war against Iraq.

The Bush administration said they KNEW WHERE THE WEAPONS WERE!!!! To date they've found no weapons!!!

Bush said the invasion of Iraq would pay for itself. To date we've dropped $127 billion on Iraq with another $80 billion on it's way!!!!

Bush said he was a "war president". Than he turned around and said he was the peace president.

In the matter of seconds, Bush said we would NOT have an all volunteer army. Than he said we WOULD have an all volunteer army.

Bush lied about increasing support for troops. Bush cut combat pay on the eve of the Iraq war. He also cut hardship pay and death benefits!!!!

Bush said he increased wetlands by 3 million. To date, no one knows what the fuck he was talking about!!!!

Bush claims he is against affirmative action. Yet Bush himself has a history of gross underachievement that was superceeded by "rich white man's" affirmative action!!!!

Bush launched a major initiative to go to Mars with new funding. Then he redirected NASA project money to the Mars project undermining critical work of REAL planetary scientific research!!! Hardly a word has been head about it since.

Bush said he would tear down Abu Ghraib prison and build a new one in it's place. He caught a LOT of flack for that. We haven't heard about that since.

Bush proposed a plan for illegal immigrant amnesty that ONLY applied to Mexicans. Bush quickly flip-flopped and dropped the proposal under pressure FROM HIS OWN CONSTITUENTS!!!

Bush said he was focused on security before 9/11. But his own attorney general de-prioritized counter-terrorism efforts underneath prostitution and pornography.

Bush claimed he was looking out for our countries security. Primarily with missle defense to prevent the enemy from striking our country. Yet Bush did not meet with his Counter-terrorism Czar ONCE before the events of 9/11. Clarke did not have access to Bush despite Clarke's desperate pleas that "something big" was going to happen!!!

At the end of the day, just remember that your classmate is snorting the Kool-Aid directly from the packet. There is nothing you can do for him. You're trying to covince your audience.

And I hope this is a college class you're talking about. If these people can't vote, it really doesn't matter ;-)
