question: AFTER bush loses, how long before he (openly) hits the bottle?
does anyone honestly think he'd stay sober once his political career is finished?

if i were a betting man, i'd put money on him boozing it up before his term even expires. oh, the media would keep it quiet -- why kick a man when he's down -- but he wouldn't be trying to hide it when the cameras were off.

then i'm guessing the evening of january 20th, he's back in a bottle for good, and everyone will know it.

1. 'Bout a Month
Then Laura will find it compelling to spend her time in Houston, leaving him on the ranch.

Being Republicans, they'll softsoap it in public.

7. Lecture?
He can't speak coherently. How could he ever deliver a lecture? He would have to lip synch.

5. That's kind of what happened to LBJ
after leaving office.
He just kind of gave up on taking care of himself.

He died not terribly long after leaving office didn't he?

6. Could we get that lucky with Blinky?
With the death and grief he's brought the world, I refuse to feel guilty about being happy if the bastard does drink himself to death after losing.

8. are you kidding
losing will be the best thing to happen to bush. he never really wanted to be president anyway, remember god called him to the job, supposedly. he will buy a baseball team after losing and be happy until the indictments come down. :-)

25. Actually I think it will be the worst thing for him
Dubya is the posterboy for the Oedipus complex. His self esteem is closely tied to doing what his father couldn't - specifically, taking Iraq and being elected to a second term. Iraq is already f**ked. Not being elected to a second term will be a devestating psychological blow to Chimpy-boy, IMHO </takes off armchair psychologist hat>

why do you think he constantly loses his train of thought? Also what about the stammering over words? I believe it is a big open secret, like Strom's black daughter!

14. I find this inappropriate
Wishing an alcoholic to start drinking again isn't something
I would want for my worse enemy.

15. not wishing it on him, just making a prediction.
it has far more to do with trust in his sincerity in his sobriety.

i think he exploited his teetotalism for highly cynical personal political advantage and once the political advantage is removed, he will be revealed to never have had his heart in sobriety at all.

17. I would - any way the earth is free of him is alright by me
But him doing it to himself would be poetic justice for the thousands he has killed. End of story.

16. Do you think he has ever stopped?
Me thinks that Bush is a binge drinker that can go a few weeks, sometimes a couple of months without drinking but when he does drink, he drinks till he drops. That choaking on a pretzel story when he collapsed to the floor banging up his face a couple of years ago was laughable.

The mostly likely explanation for that incident and others where he had some sort of face to the ground encounter is that he was drunk off his ass. Bush IMO, can only control his addiction for so long before he, given the pressures of the presidency, goes off the wagon.

We will hear the real story after he is out of office.

21. A brilliant anti-Bush t-shirt

I've found something cool out there: an anti-Bush t-shirt, which I think really does hit the spot. It says all we need to know about the person and it does it in both killing simple and intelligent way (refers to the wonderful "upturned book happening" of the Bushlife). The guy who designed this must have some big brain. May I say the way the t-shirt puts it should spread because the funny piece would help folks see something clearer.
Have a look at it:

27. He could go from being the Worst President Ever to the Worst Ex-
President Ever - booze or not.

Look at Carter - an OK president but a great ex-Pres.

If Bush does end up drinking again, I suspect he will go into rehab like some aging rockstar.
