Drudge & CNN say Jim Miklaszewski saw no HE; maybe coz he wasn't in Iraq??

Suddenly, the war was under way. NBC News correspondent David Bloom and his team were moving north with the 3rd Infantry Division.

Correspondents Chip Reid and Kerry Sanders moved out with the Marines.

Dana Lewis was reporting in from the 101st Airborne and Brian Williams kept us apprised of missile attacks launched at Kuwait.

Fred Francis was covering the Kurds in northern Iraq, and George Lewis was tracking the on-again, off-again role of the Turks right next door.

In Washington, Jim Miklaszewski, Andrea Mitchell, Pete Williams, David Gregory, and Campbell Brown were on the air from the Departments of Defense, State, and Justice, along with the White House.

Other correspondents and production teams were assigned to military bases around the nation to cover the war on the home front.

-David Bloom with the 3rd ID was the first group to reach Al Qaqaa, and they DID find the explosives intact.

-DANA was with the 101st AB, with the 2nd group to reach Al Qaqaa and none of them would know if those explosives were still there or not. (And that's military saying that.)

-Jim Miklaszewski, who according to Drudge and CNN was the "embedded reporter" with the 101st AB that "never saw any explosives" at Al Qaqaa was actually in WASHINGTON at the time.

And Bloom was with the 3rd ID; CNN & Drudge say Jim was with the 101st AB.

DANA was with the 101st AB.

The 3rd ID report says they DID find the explosives; they were the first to reach Al Qaqaa, April 4.

CNN/Drudge say Jimbo reached Al Qaqaa on April 10th; that was the 101st AB and that wasn't Jim, it was Dana.

Looking now to see if jim was sent out to the 101stAB with Dana...

14. Kerry DID find them, that's why I've been looking.

Yesterday Kerry said bushCartel had "twisted an NBC report".

The only NBC reports I found on NBC all referred to the Pentagon saying yes the explosives were still intact and sealed immediately after the invasion.

So why would Kerry say that was "twisted"?

Then Drudge & CNN came out saying Jimbo was with the 101st AB and they'd never seen any explosives. But NBC never had any such report on their site and jimbo wasn't in Iraq, he was in Washington.

We know the 101st was the SECOND group at Al Qaqaa and that the first group, the 3rd ID, HAD seen the explosives and their report says so.

So it seemed somewhere between April 4th -3rd ID sees them- and April 10 -101st AB doesn't see them- the explosives disappeared.

But the military says the 101st AB and especially no reporter, would know if they saw them or not, coz none of them were trained in explosives/NBC.

So I wanted to find out what Kerry meant that CNN & Drudge had "twisted" an NBC report coz I never found anything on the NBC site; now I learned it was a TV news report, never was on NBC's site.

CNN & Drudge are saying JIM was IN IRAQ and HE never saw explosives...but Jim was NOT in Iraq, and now you guys who saw the NBC TV report say Jim never said he was; he said NBC had A REPORTER (Dana) with the 101st AB and that reporter says he never saw any explosives.

But he wouldn't know anyways.

So now I *think* I have all the info on exactly how Drudge & CNN are twisting & spinning what NBC said...but Kerry caught it yesterday afternoon.

17. Jim just did the voice over for the NBC nightly news report.

He wasn't in Iraq and it's not clear on what he based his statements that "these troops" (the 101st Airborne) who took over the place "temporarily" (how long was that "temporary" period?) and "never found" these explosives (how long and hard did they look, it's a huge site?).
