New Colorado Record: 325k votes cast....election day less crowded
in early voting...if i remember the difference from 4 years ago was only 125k...

http://www.denverpost.com/Stories/0,1413,36~64~2491944,00.html

More than 325,000 voters have cast ballots already in Colorado.

In the first week of early voting, more than 135,000 people went to polling stations statewide. In addition, nearly 190,000 absentee ballots were returned, according to county totals provided to the Colorado secretary of state.

Meanwhile, some absentee voters from Denver are still waiting for missing ballots - and fearing they will lose their right to vote. The frustrated voters include a former City Council member whose daughter in Pennsylvania is trying to vote absentee in Denver.

Early turnout has been particularly heavy in some Denver metro counties.

Nearly one-third of 153,000 registered voters in Douglas County had voted by the end of last week. Jefferson County reported about one-sixth of its registered voters, more than 60,000 people, had cast early votes or returned absentee ballots as of 3 p.m. Monday.

1. While the big numbers are encouraging
I was discouraged to see that not all people were able to get a ballot. You'd think that in 2004 we'd have all this stuff figured out by now.

3. You guys are under Republican leadership in CO aren't you?
You can bet they know that low voter turn out favors them.

4. Yeah...major freeper Govenor...
and many others (except Salizar as AG)....

I don't care if the vote falls to the republicans as long as the press proclaims the truth before hand and the votes are counted right....something not happening today...
